Is it just me or are kids nowadays lacking in the basics of good manners? Allow me to cite a couple of instances :

1. Last week, I was at Toy Kingdom MOA, checking out on the latest toys. It so happened that I was standing between a kid and his dad. The kis wanted to show a toy to his dad so he practically "shoved" me aside without saying "excuse me".

2. Just today, I was at SM Southmall to buy a spare mouse. The mall was somewhat crowded because it was the start of the weekend sale. There was this kid walking with his arms swinging from side-to-side. Since the mall was crowded, the kid's arms hit me in the thigh (almost hitting my nuts). The kid did not even bother to apologize and simply walked away, arms swinging as before.

Kids today are over praised or rewarded for simple tasks accomplished. Naka 89 lang sa quiz, Jollibee na. Blame the stupid parents for their children having no sense of reality and having huge sense of entitlement. Most kids I know magagalang naman kasi mahusay pagpapalaki ng magulang. Pero yung hindi ko kilala sarap patirin. Like, why are they allowed to use shoes with wheels (whatever you call that, I'm old and cranky) and do their thing at crowded places like the mall, minsan sa hospital or Church pa? Sarap tirisin ng magulang.

Mga tao na sobrang halatang trying hard mag English na may American accent. Katawa-tawa pakinggan ang fake accent, pati siguro mga nakakarinig na Americans napapa-iling na lang.

Having lunch or holding a conversation with a person who has one of those wireless earsets (Jabra, etc.) shoved up his ear the whole time. Simple and common courtesy dictates that you should have the decency to tuck it away for just an hour or so. I don't think anyone is THAT important that s/he can't be incommunicado long enough to have lunch or a conversation.

For those who wear them to look important and powerful, sorry but it all the more shows that you're a mere slave to your work. Truly important people can choose when and where they can be contacted.
