UAAP Forum Reorganization: Where to post threads

Hello PExers !

The UAAP Forums is already reorganized for easier navigation. Below are the new UAAP sub-forums which will also go well with the new desig. Please take note of Admin CaRaMBa's announcement below with regards to the new UAAP sub-forums!

• general UAAP topics and news
• other sports (other than volleyball, basketball)

Teams, Athletes, Personalities

• team threads (except for cheerdancing)
• specific athlete threads
• other personalities (eg. commentators, courtside reporters, etc.)

Basketball

• basketball topics and news
• Note: game threads should go to "Games Discussions and Analysis"

Volleyball

• volleyball topics and news
• Note: game threads should go to "Games Discussions and Analysis"

Cheerdancing

• cheerdancing topics and news
• related topics such as cheerleading, streetdance, etc.
• half-time performances
• cheerdancing team threads

Games Discussions and Analysis

• schedules
• game threads

The forum will also have a new design, and the sub-forums will have a separate header on top, so it will be easier to jump from one forum to another. This will be implemented soon!

Please take note that the moderators and administrators can move threads to appropriate forums without notice.

Please read and review the User Agreement:

Before you registered in PinoyExchange, you are asked to tick a box which tells us that you agree with our User Agreement. In this light, we expect you to have read and understood the rules and guidelines in the forums to avoid sanctions. Below are the common offenses that are found here in the UAAP forum:

Bashing - Bashing is the act of criticizing a subject without any basis or in a totally derogatory manner. In tagalog "May mailait lang". If you are to criticize a team, personality, game, or whatever subject tackled in this forum; kindly provide proper basis to avoid sanctions. Bashing your rival university does not make your university any better.

Trolling - Trolling is the act of posting for the sole purpose of creating unrest in the discussion. Please refrain from posting messages that can provoke other members to argue with each other as this will not contribute to a healthy discussion.

Flaming - Flaming is the a hostile act of posting messages to offend another forum member. This includes name calling (like augmenting the name of one's university to deliver a rude remark).

Breach of Privacy Policy - Our User Agreement does not allow posts that will lead to a private individuals photos or social networking sites. Please respect the privacy of other members. You wouldn't like your photo to be posted in any of the threads right? Although photos of athletes, cheerleaders, prominent organizers, and people directly connected to the UAAP is fine.

Text Speak and Jejemon is not allowed - Please post in a legible manner so that everyone understands the said post. Those who would not post in a legible manner will receive sanctions.

Take note that the sanctions can range from 5 day suspensions to a permanent ban. This reminder also serves as your warning.

What to do if you see someone going against the User Agreement?

If you spot an offending post or someone that goes against the User Agreement, below are a few reminders:

1) Do not feed the trolls - Trolls exist to create unrest and garner attention from everyone. Giving them attention will only prove that they are successful in whatever they are doing.

2) Do not flame back - If a member is flaming you, do not reply with a flame as this will only result in conflict which is unhealthy for our forum discussions.

3) Use the Ignore Feature - You may choose to put members in your ignore list so that you will not see his or her posts as you speak your mind in peace. You can access your Ignore List by going to Account Settings --> Edit Profile --> Buddy/Ignore List

4) Report the offender - If you spot an offender, just ignore the post and report him or her using the Contact Us page

Remember the quote beside the quick reply area: You are what you post. Please remember that posting in PinoyExchange is very powerful. Thousands of people can read your message. What you post on PEx says a lot about who you are, your education and upbringing.

Your posts speak a lot about you and at some level, the university you came from as well.
