MANILA, Philippines — The much-anticipated movie reunion between John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo will happen next year.

Sarah herself announced she will be working on a third movie with John Lloyd Cruz in 2012.

“Ang good news, sana hindi na mabago rin, yes magkakatrabaho po kami ulit ni John Lloyd Cruz next year po yata so sana matuloy po,” the singer-actress confirmed via ABS-CBN News online, Tuesday.

Sarah admitted earlier that she missed working with John Lloyd, who was rumored to be her “first love.” This was before her secret relationship with now ex-boyfriend Rayver Cruz.

“Yes, I’ve missed him. He’s special to me as he is to a lot of people, magaling na aktor at mabuting kaibigan,” Sarah said of John Lloyd.

The two prized talents of ABS-CBN worked together in two Star Cinema blockbusters, “A Very Special Love” (2008) and “You Changed My Life” (2009), which catapulted them to box office royalty.

Meanwhile, Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo’s reunion film “Won’t Last A Day Without You,” reportedly opened with a P20-million gross nationwide on Nov. 30.

According to Star Cinema’s Advertising and Promotions manager Mico del Rosario, this has been Gerald and Sarah’s biggest opening to date. Their first team-up “Catch Me… I’m in Love” reportedly earned P15 million on its opening day last March.

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board gave “Won’t Last A Day Without You” a “General Patronage” rating, while the Cinema Evaluation Board has graded the film “B.”

Ang pagpayag ni Sarah Geronimo na makatambal muli si John Lloyd Cruz matapos ang maintriga nilang paghihiwalay ay iisa lamang ang pahiwatig, naka-move on na siya at magagawa na niyang makipagtrabahong muli sa aktor na pinaniniwalaan ng lahat ay first love niya. Sa kabila ng sinasabing “First love never dies,” ipinamamalas lamang ng Pop Princess ang kanyang professionalism.

Senyales din ito na naka-move on na siya, or has she really? Sinabi rin kasi ng Pop Princess na na-miss niya ang pakikipagtrabaho sa aktor.

“So, sana matuloy po. I miss him. magaling siyang aktor at mabuting kaibigan,” sabi ni Sarah.

Hindi naman nagkukulang sa leading man si Sarah. Tagumpay ang dalawang beses na pakikipagtambal niya kay Gerald Anderson. Balitang kumita ng milyones sa unang araw na pagpapalabas ang reunion film nilang Won’t Last a Day Without You. Ito ay sa kabila ng hindi sila romantically linked. Pero ibang kaso naman si JLC. May nakaraan sila na maaring yumabong na muli. At pareho silang walang sabit ngayon.

In celebration of John Lloyd Cruz Five (5) INGAT years with Biogesic a series of Fans Day Tour brought John Lloyd to several places in Philippines for the fans to personally meet and greet the Philippines Multi Box-Office King. On December 3, 2011 The country’s leading brand prescribed by doctors, in cooperation with Unilab and ABS-CBN, has brought John Lloyd to Cagayan de Oro this time for a special “Ingat Fans Day”. Before the actual fans day at the Limketkai Atrium, a press conference was held at the Marco Hotel in Gusa, Cagayan de Oro attended by representatives from Print, ads, tv and online media. Chadacdo was lucky to be invited on the said press conference.

We know the fans are drying to know more about JLC and his upcoming projects, so here’s what we got so far.
Question: What are the 5 things you look forward to in 2012?
JLC: Movie with Angel Locsin which is set to play on January 18,2012. A Teleserye come back. A Vacation to relax. More years with Biogesic. (the 5th – utang pa nya ). See video below.


Question: Name 3 leading lady would you love to work with in the future? (This JLC had a hard time dropping names)
JLC: Izza Calzado, she is a great actress. He also added that he would love to work with older leading ladies like Ms. Lorna Tolentino if given the chance.

The actor also shared that his upcoming movie with Angel Locsin tackles an In-The-Now issue, napapanahon at nangyayari. The movie has no title yet but to be specific it embarks on “Casual Sex or casual relationship”, we can probably think of a Friends with Benefits feel but in a Pinoy’s perspective. He further added that this is something new for Angel while “showing his body” in a movie is nothing new to him (JLC joked).

A good news to the Bea-JL fans as there might be a primetime TV series which will bring back the tandem next year. This he hope will push through. And to the AshLloyds, he also confirmed that after his movie with Angel Locsin, the third installment of the JLC-Sarah movie will be his next project for the big screen. Furthermore, John Lloyd is geared for an advocacy just like Angel. He said he volunteered to do something for the teachers. No further information about it but let’s just all wait and see.

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Iza Calzado hinted that she will be doing a project with the Kapamilya network.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Calzado said, “There’s a film that I’m supposed to do and it’s very exciting. That’s supposed to be with...”

Without finishing her statement, Calzado shifted her attention to the ABS-CBN logo on the microphone.

Reports said that Calzado will be teaming up with John Lloyd Cruz, but the actress neither denied nor confirmed the report.

Meanwhile, despite the recent death of her father, Lito, Calzado said that she will celebrate Christmas filled with gratitude knowing that his dad was able to touch so many lives.

“It’s good to know that my father lives on in the hearts of many,” she said. – Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
