    konting patalastas muna.

    sabi nga ni zorro:

"The only wrong thing would be to deny what your heart truly feels."

    kay zorro naman ako makikinig.

Oh come on, just how does one "be gay". Stupid homophobic cunts.
The same exact reason why I wish I were gay.

    http://www.gotquestions.org/homosexuality-Bible.html

^ Last paragraph...I agree with that. It doesn't mean that if you're a homosexual, mas masama ka nang tao sa akin. I mean, I can be married and have lots of other women on the side. Sino mas makasalanan? Pareho lang tayo. Hey, I'm not one to judge.

The interpretations in the articles you cited are way too superficial and one-dimensional in comparison to the one I posted. So, there is no way that just by reading those articles, ay tapos ang usapan. I believe that no one, not Bible scholars, not even church leaders, have the authority to interpret the Bible for everyone anyway. They are just humans after all, limited by the plasticity of human intelligence.

What I've been pointing out in this thread all this time is that, opponents of homosexuality have been citing Bible verses that say homosexual prostitution, coercion, and exploitation are sin. When asked, and I've asked in this thread several times, what the Bible says about "non-exploitative, non-coercive, loving, committed, monogamous homosexual relationship, one that was not rooted in idolatry, one that did not represent a rejection of one’s own true nature, and one that was not characterized by excessive lust", they just couldn't answer, simply because the Bible says nothing about that kind of homosexuality.

To say therefore, that "acting on homosexuality" is sin because the Bible says that homosexual acts such as prostitution, coercion, exploitation, and insatiable lust are sin, is a grave misinterpretation and generalization.

The same can be said about heterosexuality, by the way so, yes. We are all sinners.

homosexuality or being gay or lesbo is not a sin.. sexual immorality is..

kung masaya ka lang at di ka naman nakikipags*x sa kapwa mo lalaki or kapwa mo babae.. or sa hindi mo asawa.. wala lang yun.. enjoy life.. God loves us all..

kaya lang naman nagiging sexual immorality ang pagpatol sa kapwa lalaki/babae ay pag may s*x ng kasama kasi s*x is for married people and marriage is only for man and woman because it is designed ONLY for a man and a woman.. that's my belief.. after all lesbians are still girls and gays are still guys.
so if you're gay at nag asawa ka naman ng girl.. di na big deal ang pagiging gay..
sa tingin ko naman eh ang bawat kasalanan.. it's either a weakness or just plain ignorance.. and i don't think God will condemn us just because we are weak or just because we are ignorant on some things..

    .
Well, I'm not convincing you if that's how you interpret a very simple and straighforward Biblical truth.

Let's not split hairs so....agree to disagree? I'd rather listen to the people I know who read/write/speak hebrew and greek and Biblical history. Some of them say homosexuality is a sin...some say 'if you act on it.' But...all of them agree on one thing: It's not really pleasant to debate doctrine, least of all online. Isa pa, I feel na ang sama ko at ang kapal ko to argue about things Biblical eh makasalanan din ako.

    wtf @ this argument. Really?

Well, sometimes I forgot there are still super religious people.

PS to the TS, Live your life, do not let religion tell you otherwise. It's just really sad that you would deny your instincts just because some bigoted people told you so.

and my post was not an argument.. it just a simple piece of a share.. after all nagtanong ang TS about PExers beliefs right? eh di wala ng dapat pag usapan.. saka we can't impose something we believe to others..

your choice.. and respect everybody's choice and belief..

I really think we should all try to lie low on generality. Those "people who read/write/speak hebrew and greek and Bibilical history" couldn't even tell whether God's name is Yahweh or Jehovah or whether Jesus is God or not. So again, I believe that no one has the complete authority to interpret the Bible for everyone.

And when it comes to making a biblical case on a sensitive topic such as homosexuality, many people filter the Bible through their own personal preferences, choosing the parts they like. The Bible is never that "simple and straightforward".

I am not here to debate. I come here offering other readers a reason to keep an open mind, to try to understand things that are not covered in the Bible, to become neutral interpreters of the Bible in their own, and be free from using the whole "because the Bible says so" reason for explaining everything. I just think it's a very shallow reasoning.

Agree to disagree. And with that I will end this argument with a quote from a Christian minister named Oswald J. Chambers; "My strong advice to you is to soak, soak, soak in philosophy and psychology, until you know more of these subjects than ever you need consciously to think. It is ignorance of these subjects on the part of ministers and workers that has brought our evangelical theology to such a sorry plight...The man who reads only the Bible does not, as a rule, know it or human life.”

That's the time na nagiging sin ang Homosexuality. Pero in general, hindi naman as long as alam mo na wala kang natatapakang tao at hindi mo nalalabag ang commandments.

I think people who believe homosexuality (or acting on it) is a sin interpret the Bible too literally. We, as humans, can never fully know the Truth that is God. We can never fully know God's stand on homosexuality and homosexual acts. Yes, we have the Bible, but the Bible is also only written by men and interpreted by men. No matter how your religious leaders interpret the Scriptures, their interpretations will never entirely realize the Truth as God tells it. Saying that you know everything about God, including his ACTUAL stand on homosexuality, is saying that you are God yourself.

Now I am not saying that we shouldn't trust the Bible. It may probably be the closest approximation to the Truth; but that is all that it is- an APPROXIMATION. Also, the Bible is a literary item and not everything has to be taken literally; some things have to be read with a historical context in mind. I'm pretty sure there's one Leviticus passage condemning tattoos; but you don't see any "God Hates Tats" signs anywhere, do you?

My interpretation and approximation of the Truth (and this is only MY APPROXIMATION), is that Love has to be in the center of everything. God's greatest commandments are 1. Love the Lord and 2. Love your neighbors. So Love, whether it is between a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman, is LOVE. The Love between people of the same sex do not harm or take away anything from others. "Acting on homosexuality", as some of you have put it, is an expression of Love. Remember, sex is not just about procreation, it is also about the unification of a couple.

So with all of these, I can't understand how homosexuality can be a sin. I don't understand how being with someone you love be so wrong.

  13. #313
it is not. let us just say it's part of our humanly evolution.
who knows after millions of years, gays and lesbians na lahat ng tao then suddenly a man and a woman would sprung up.. sin din bang maituturing un ng mga future people?

I think kung medyo girlish lang ang tao the way he acts or talks, di naman siguro kasalanan yun. Pero kung he engages in sexual activities with another man, well eto ang sabi ng Bible:

"...Also remember the cities of sodom and gomorrah and the other towns around them. IN the same way, they were full of sexual sin and people who desired sexual relations that God does not allow. They suffer the punishment of eternal fire, as an example for all to see." Jude 7 (NCV)

Parang balance of nature yan.

It's all about balance.

Like I said, it's all about nature's balance.

    hehe.
