any team except UE.
tumblings = FEU, pantay pantay at sabay sabay
body gestures = UP, kakaiba nakaka aliw
stunts = UST, maangas, napapa anga lahat
synch = FEU, parang salinggawi nung 2001-2006
music = UST, galing ng choice at pagkakamix
tosses = FEU, ang tataas grabe
lifts = UP, matibay, di na gumegewang tulad dati
choreo = UST, cool transitions, unpredictable
comparing UST FEU and UP
F-E-U Cheer (the loudest cheer of FEU) ends with the letter "U" a letter when pronounced is easily prolonged (try it) considering it's the easiest cheer in history (and I'm telling you this as a good thing)The only school that defeated UP in crowd synchronized movement participation
(the yellow Hanky effect is amazing)
Matatapang Matatalino...(the loudest and most popular cheer of UP) ends with the letter "P" also when pronounced is easily prolonged (again try it) after the drums truly ends with "U" (the boastful kinda pronunciation that UP crowd loves to emphasize)considering that they have the most number of students in Araneta everytime there is a cheering competition, you can never beat that.
GO USTE!!! (the best cheer of UST according to the thomasian community)ends with the letter "E" and when used in GO USTE is prolonged in a flat note/tone which is very hard to make louder/bigger (try it)
and the cheer is done in a repetitive and very fast manner that leaves no room for resting thus the unintentional fading effect in the end
leaving the cheer very susceptible to being overpowered by another school's cheer.
GO UE!!! (the most audible and I guess popular cheer of UE) has the same problem with GO USTE (try it too), in addition to that, the cheer has no climax to end it, it just fades when the crowd gets tired, Pamantasan nang Silangan Cheer is quite impressive, they just need more male voices to add power on the cheer.
GO ATENEO! (to me is the most fun cheer to do when in the Ateneo crowd) ends with the letter "O" which as we all now echoes best among all letters when pronounced, added bonus are the drum beats that are definitely awesomely done. (don't you even wonder where the female voices are when they cheer, it's as if there are only male students and graduates in this school
. (ah yeah, they were the last to become co ed)
D-LS-U ANIMO LASALLE! (the best cheer of the Archers) again, ends in the middle with "U" and ends with the letter "E" which is actually silent and sounds more prolonged with the letter A and ends with a little "L"(salle!!!) enough to compete with Go Ateneo!
FALCON LETS GO (this UP inspired cheer is very catchy with the same wide clap movement of the crowd by UP)is very well done with a climax of U the end.. i think? (same as UP)
A-D-A-M-SON is also very catchy
NU no offense but I really don't know their cheers![]()

Yan din ang kinaganda ng trads halftime. They keep a mystery sa gagawing performance ng squad sa CDC. But based on these halftime performances ng AS and BBB, you'll see that they really have the potential to make it.
i agree, malakas ang "GO ATENEO" cheer kasi haba ng drum lapse para magpahinga boses, kaya pag sigaw todo talaga anlakas. di tulad ng "GO USTE" tuloy tuloy kaya fading sa huli.
i dont think maraming baguhan sa UP and FEU, makikita naman sa itsura. in fairness to both teams, all out talaga sila lagi pag half time, kudos for entertaining the crowds.
it's got to be admu and adu.

2011 Filoil CDC 3rd placer
Go ADU Pep Squad! Let's go for the Win!
Mahirap mag-gauge kasi there's no other competition similar to UAAP Cheerdance!
Kahit halftime hindi din magamit na sukatan, what more yung ibang competitions like NCC and FilOil.
Marami din pwedeng mabago year in and year out, kaya hindi rin safe gamiting measurement ang previous competitions.
This is what I like most in CDC, although the so-called Top 3 is so hard to beat, very unpredictable ang CDC kaya hindi nakakasawang abangan.
To answer the question: I think ADMU and DLSU ang possible maging threat, but then again UP, FEU, and UST are still strong (in CDC terms) and all have their reasons to put up a very strong routine to win. ADMU has their chance, they'll study what happened in 2009, kung bakit nakapasok sila.. they attempted to do the same in 2010 but unfortunately may flaw sa stunts last year. DLSU naman, I heard they hired a professional cheerleading coach as their head choreographer. I forgot the name pero galing daw daw UPHSD (?) who I think can deliver a routine na very similar sa approach na ginagamit ng FEU in the past few years.
These schools are my Top 5, bahala na kung sino ang makakapag-uwi ng cash prize.![]()
May nabalitaan ako sa Animo Squad. 2 of their 4 gymnast got injured daw during practice. This is the last season na magkakasama sama daw yung apat. If this news is true I hope they can recover soon in time for the CDC ang lakas pa naman ng DLSU this year...
is it true that the following schools acquired the services of these multi-titled cheering coaches?
DLSU - former Perpetual Coach (NCAA and NCC)
ADU - former CCP Coach (NCC)
^^^ yes it's true...eventhough they are coaching UAAP teams they are still the coach of UPHDS and CCP..
