Absolutely crushed that Cancy got into an accident. He could have won Tour of Flanders.
I only followed Paris-Roubaix via Twitter. I gotta get my cycling fan groove back before the TDF!

Summer seems to be ending, but the feeling doesn't have to end. Check out this list for awesome road-trip getaways!

Haven't been following closely, but I check out the news on the Giro. Yeah I'll probably be watching the mountain stages lang...
TDS Stuff...
RNST should really get their act together.
I don't think they have a chance of being in the Podium - they don't have a strong, true leader. Frank Schleck? Pshh. They had a small chance when Andy was part of the team but now that he's out because of an injury, well, that's about it. They will try to go for stages now but I don't see that happening either, except for Cancy for the TT stage. Oh well...
I'm excited for the tour!
The giro had a pretty exciting finish
I'm hoping that it will be the same in the TDF.
No schleck and no contador though
People are saying it's gonna be Hesjedal vs Wiggins vs Cadel.
Are there other contenders?
Heard also last week that Voeckler might not be part of the Tour? But, but... I love watching him! His fighting spirit rivals Vinokorouv but he's actually adorable and not annoying.![]()
And the Tour has started! Best 3 weeks of the year!
Spartacus was a BEAST!!! I had little doubt that he was going to win the prologue, even if he came from an injury. I'm soooo happy! From a nasty crash/injury/operation, to a stage win and yellow jersey! Loved his smile when he was on the podium!
This is one of the few chances that Radioshack has at winning anything in this Tour (the others are the time trials), so they should savor it! I don't think there's a chance of them being in the podium, unless Klodi pulls off a miracle. I strongly feel that Frank Schleck has no chance, at all. I've never believed in the guy (in his brother, yes). He doesn't believe it either. And the Prologue result is somewhat a confirmation - if I remember correctly he was 114th overall. Yeah, not gonna happen dude.
This year, I'm going to be cheering for the following:
-- Cancellara - because he's awesome
-- George Hincapie - because it's his last tour
-- Hesjedal - seems like a nice guy and I like his teammates (Farrar, Zabriskie, Vande Velde)
-- Cadel - I don't like him, but he's with BMC and I like BMC because of George and Taylor Phinney (though he's not in the Tour team)
I could have cheered for Brajkovic but he's with Astana - eek, no.
Props to Chavanel who tried. Can't blame him, he was only down 7 seconds and there were climbs towards the end so there was a chance. But he lost steam right away...
YAY for Spartacus who's still in yellow.
The commentators on Eurosport Live were talking about teams attacking while someone's down, and they kept mentioning Movistar. What happened? I missed that part.
I am so grateful we have Eurosport Live but man, Sean Yates sucks as a commentator. I miss Phil and Paul - best cycling commentators EVER.
Great work by team sky during stage 7.
They kept the pace up the whole race and that resulted to some of the contenders breaking down during the steep climb...
Yep, Sky deserved to win last night. Damn, they DESTROYED the peloton! Memories of US Postal blue train from the early 2000's...
Stage win and yellow jersey! Wow!
I would love to see more action from Wiggins though. He just followed Cadel. I really thought Cadel was going to take the stage. Based on last year's TDF, his M.O. has been to attack during the stages that he can. He tried, but Froome was just too strong! And Wiggo just stuck to him.
Such a great ride from Spartacus! I guess yellow does something to you huh? Pathetic result from Levi - not surprised at all. Schleck - not surprised too.
This is looking like a Wiggo vs Cadel tour, based on what's happening.
So sad for Garmin - they are left with 6 men!
What a fantastic stage!!! Well, I expected it because imagine, it had 2 hors categorie climbs and it was a mountaintop (category 1!) finish! I expected a GC shake up too and it happened, sadly, Cadel lost more minutes. It seems he doesn't have it this year. He didn't do that well during the time trial and he cracked during this stage.
Seems this is Wiggo's to lose.
One observation - the young 'uns are dominating the tour! I am excited for the future tours. Imagine if Froome and Tejay didn't have to wait for their leaders. IMAGINE! There were even talks on Twitter that Froome could have probably won the Tour yesterday if he didn't have to wait.
Loved the stage! Highlights:
-- Froome was THE MAN. He absolutely crushed everyone in that group, dropping the leaders one by one. At one point he looked like he cracked, but he just had to recover a bit and he was at it again.
-- Drama! Nibali staring at Wiggins like crazy. The commentators couldn't get over it. However, I thought he was really just trying to assess if Wiggins had it in him to go for the stage, because after that he attacked. Gotta give it to Nibali, that's how you win. Too bad they caught up with him. In the end, they patted each other so I'm thinking I was right.
-- Cadel! Respect that he tried to attack during the earlier climb (was that Madeleine or the second mountain?). Again, that's how you win. Maybe it was too early though, he paid for it dearly during the last climb. It looks like he won't be able to defend the jersey.
-- I am seeing the changing of the guards. The old ones can't compete like before anymore. I laughed at a tweet that said Radioshack has dinosaur riders (except for Schleck).
-- Rolland's win last year (Alp d'Huez!) wasn't a fluke!
