^ Same question. Clearing the browser history helped for a while though. I wonder if TS is also a Sky Broadband user.

I can't solve the problem so I just customized my settings to hide all avatars.
Yes, I'm a Sky Broadband subscriber. Other Sky users are also having the same problem on various forums based on my research. Majority thinks it has something to do with DNS cache.

Everything's fixed after a series of Sky Broadband down times last month. You can now 'unhide' the avatars if you haven't done so already.
