In my case, yes men and women can be platonic friends. Maybe because I am not a girlfriend material at all, so my guy friends just see me purely as a friend? And most of my guy friends are taken anyway, so no chance, haha.

I guess...I have a close male friend (my hs classmate)...he may not always be physically present but I know he's always there when I'm at my lowest point. The wife is obviously jealous and that's why I sometimes back-off. We're very active in our FB walls except when the wife butts-in, that's the time I shut-up! It depends, dati sa school kinakaibigan ko lang ang mga babae for 2 things, 1 if they can help me in my studies, makokopyahan, pwede akong ipasok sa job etc and 2 if they are gf material. And there is one attractive girl na perfect match for me, she likes what I like, watch tv shows that I like and almost lahat ng bagay nagkakasundo kami, so naging super close kami. And unti-unti nawala pagiging attractive niya, alam niya lahat ng secrets ko and vice versa and na realize ko shes like a mirror of myself and if im a girl di ako maiinlove sa guy na ako, bukod sa tamad at mayabang, di pa masyadong hygienic.
