We already have a courier pick up date of March 27 but we want to apply earlier since we have travel plans on April 25. Our travel agent said it takes 21 working days. Comments here say only 15 calendar days. I'm worried we won't receive our passports back in time
i think we have the same query on personal appearance which has been answered already by micai in her reply to me.

i sent an email to italian embassy to request for fast track processing since our travel date is march 29 and pick up date was march 5. i got a reply with one word.."noted"

according to call center, the average processing time is 15 working days. in your case, you have 20 working days to work on.

i also wrote in the letter of intent in bold format our request for fast track processing stating our flight date just so they'd be aware when processing our application. i hope it works.

hi SCQG- i followed exactly what you did, use the word "fastrack" and i think it worked!

i sent an email on friday Mar 9. just asking for personal appearance on Mar 12 and gave time.

come monday morning no reply yet, so i made a follow up and mentioned that we would like to travel on Mar31and requested if they can fastrack the scheduling so we have enough time.

at around 3pm i received an email that we are scheduled on Mar 15 and given the time. were also asked to bring all our requirements.

im so excited!! i hope that we will be granted.

just have clarifications, i hope someone can help me:

1.We will be paying using AMEXCO card for our airlines ticket. The travel insurance is usually included on that.
Do we still need to have a separate travel insurance from one of the accredited list?

    2. I will be travelling with my son and I am not married to his father nor have any more communication with him, do I still need to provide the Affidavit of Support and Consent?

    3. Do I need to present my sponsor's bank statement aside from the letter of invitation and indentification?

    4. the travel insurance should have a coverage of 30k euros, usually how much this kind of travel insurance in pesos?

    5. the money that we have in our acct, usually when is the safe time to withdraw it, after the appearance in the embassy or after they issued the VISA?

good for you! i didn't request for personal appearance as all our documents have been picked up by the courier before i sent the email request for fast track. i just quoted our application reference numbers in the email. they replied a day after, all i got was one word.."noted". they didn't suggest personal appearance. anyway, hopefully we'll get our visas soon. i made sure all requirements are complete.

we are going on a 15-day tour, we paid around 3,000+ per head for insurance from chartis.

as for your money in the bank, i suggest you leave it alone til you get your visa.

    good luck!

What e-mail address did you use? Release of my visa seems to be delayed for some reason. Pickup March 2, wala pa up to now. Call center said it's still at the embassy.

hi, this is the email address: amb.manila@cert.esteri.it

do you have specific travel plans like ticket and tour attached? did you make a specific request for rush processing? i think they will accept rush processing provided we can submit all the necessary docs to prove that we indeed require rush processing.

btw, is there a different requirement if we want schengen visa? rather than just an italian one?

can i tell them that if im not qualified for schedgen can they just consider me even for an italian visa? kasi im worried baka bigla nalang tatakan ako na denied sa schengen...

yes, for as long as reasonable naman yung timeframe na binigay mo sa kanila to process it vs your target departure date.

no idea on difference of schengen and italian visa. sorry.

one week ang timeframe.. officemate ko 1 week lang din taz na approve.. so im crossing my fingers...

hayyy change of plan.. instead of sponsorship, mag ho hotel ako kunwari..kasi ang mag i sponsor pala sakin ay mother nung friend ko kasi london na pala ang residency niya hindi na sa italy...
and her mother is too old to send us the required docs..

aside sa hotel reservation ano pa ba ang need?

Thanks. Anyway, I emailed the visti one but never got a reply. Got the visa already yesterday so I guess it was on the way already.

I still wonder what took so long. And they gave me only a one month visa! Which is funny because I have all kinds of visas. Anyway, doesn't matter. I really intend to stay for only 2 weeks in the Schengen area.

Parang common ata ngayon yan (1 month visa lang binibigay, kahit bayad at application mo is multiple).
