Question: To those who had their personal appearance in the Italian Embassy. After your interview, did you know immediately if they will grant you the visa? Or you have to come back for the result?

Also, do you claim the passport? Or via courier? Or may option for both?

Thanks to the helpful souls in this thread.

Hope this time someone will answer my questions...

My visa application was refused, they did not even call me to clarify my papers or whatever it is that they'd like to ask. They did however take some of my documents as some were missing and i also got a visa application stamp at my passport. Do i still have a chance to get a visa? I have to leave by September 20, how can i file an appeal? What are the actions that i should make? Thanks!

    Hi Cutienisha,

Sorry to hear about the refusal. I am not sure about going for an appeal but you can apply again for a visa. It will, however, take time (one month estimate) and September 20 is already next week.

    Hope this helps.

    Best,

    Hi Cutienisha,

Would not recommend this. It would be best if you "buffed" your case by adding more documents as possible the second time, those that will tie you to Pinas and show them that you are capable of handling all costs related to your trip.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

It really depends on the duration that you apply for or place in your application form. When I applied for two weeks, they gave me 15 days.

    Hope this helps.

    Water

Greetings. Found this thread as we (myself, wife and 2 kids) would also like to visit Italy the first week of November (7 days stay).

Not sure kung mas madali kumuha ng visa kapag family or mas mahirap.

I haven't started yet (except having a confirmed air ticket).

    Got my business visa already.

Good thing may nabasa ako sa isang site na nagrereply yung embassy thru email. I almost gave up. It took just 7 working days.

Hi, I don't think matagal. They were quite quick kasi with our application. They also answer fast sa email.

    Sorry this reply is late.

My sis in law recently applied for schengen visa, main entry is Milan, Italy sponsored by her Italian boyfriend. We called the hotline and they schedule the pick up of docs 2 days after. Processing took about 12 days no more personal appearance, then the passport was couriered back VISA WAS REFUSED because she did not provide bank documents and funds here in the Phils being a plain housewife, only the insurance her boyfriend applied in Milan. She is requested to make an appeal in 60 days but she is broken hearted and will not try to appeal anymore =( just want to share...
