    Italian Visa

    Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there is a need to make an appointment with the Embassy when applying for tourist visa?

I checked here but can't find any info.
    http://www.esteri.it/visti/home_eng.asp

I tried calling them but was not able to connect.

    TIA.

You have to call their hotline and they will schedule a date for them to pick up the application requirements. In our case, the pick-up was scheduled a month after we made the phone call. Processing took 3 weeks. No need for appearance as they will just pick up and deliver your passport. =)

unfortunately, I can't get through their hotline. Perhaps they have lots of applicant so I decided to send them an email but there is no reply yet.

if it will take a month before an appointment can be made and will take 3 weeks of processing, my plan of going to italy at the end of July will then be impossible i guess.

    thanks for the info!

They have this number you can call for Visa processing that charges per minute. I can't remember how much it costs exactly (found it kinda expensive) but you can try calling the number, they'll give you more details about the charges before you proceed with the call. Here it is: 19091012200 You can give it a try, maybe their embassy doesn't have much applicants and is not too busy. =)

    Ciao a tutti!

Anyone can give me an advice about my situation please. May Italian couple na gusto ako i hire na magtrabaho sa kanila as domestic worker. They are willing to get me a working visa. Kaya lang I have no idea how to start po, at kung anong documents ang kailangan ko ihanda. They are also doing their reserch at nagtanong-tanong na rin po sila dun on how to get me to Italy. Any ideas and knowledge on this matter will be appreciate po. Thank you and God Bless everyone!

First visa ko from italian embassy. May personal appearance naman. Bakit sabi ni waterandwine wala na parang pa apppointment ka lang for pic up ng docs

  13. #13
We did a personal appearance before, that was in 2007.
We appplied again last October 2010 thru the hotline and they didn't require us to go. They just picked up the requirements and delivered them back after the processing =)

I think yan yong sinasabi ata ng isang pexer na wala ng personal appearance if u have schengen visa issued for the past two years

  16. #16
And submit a bank cert of your own account. In my case I gave a bank cert of an account that I share with my dad, they called back and asked for a solo bank account. Not much of a hassle but it prolongs the processing time.

  18. #18
^^ Yes you need to make a checklist (2 copies) of everything you submitted. It will be signed by the courier once he picked up the documents from you.

The manager's check, we placed it inside an envelope, and then placed it inside the bigger brown envelope. =)

    Italian visa processing time

    Hi WaterAndWine,

Ask ko lang how long the application process took for you with the Italian Embassy from date of appointment to release of the visa?

    Thanks mucho!

waterfront, when we made the call, the pick up was set a month after. Then from the time they picked up the documents, it took another 3 weeks/15 working days before they were able to deliver our passports again.. =)
