Sa mga iba **, my knowledge reached up to some about swing only sa JAVA. And alam ko din concepts (di naman lahat ng concepts).
I tried to apply once sa isang company but unfortunately na-time pressure ako. Aptitude exam ko and i think I would've passed it kung medyo ineextend yung oras.

Where do you think am I headed to? Failure or success in programming job? Auko kasi mauwi sa IT Technician or DESKTOP Support.

Advice naman medyo kasi nadedepress ako sa dalawa kong failure for programmer position. =(((

may experience ka na din ba? almost 4 years na ko pero tingin ko kulang pa, pero ganon naman talaga, di matatapos ang aaralin kasi magkakaron at magkakaron din ng bago.

kung nagstart ka palang, you just need to learn the basics, aralin mo di lang yung code pati yung mga concepts. mas mapapadali ang pagkocode mo.

nagbabalak na din ako lumipat kasi feeling ko underpaid na ko.

Wala pa ako experience bro. I agree di talaga matatapos ang aralin sa IT industry. Pero, having 4years of experience, anu ma-aadvise mo sa'kin kasi gusto ko talaga ng programming job kaso nga lang I already failed twice na (isang aptitude tapos isang may halong coding) lagi ako nappressure sa oras. timed exam pareho yun.

Eh sumasama talaga loob ko pag nauubusan ako ng oras. Gusto ko kasi matanggap. I know you've failed din dati nung naguumpisa ka pa lang.
Anu ba dapat kong baon sa utak kong knowledge? Kelangan ba talaga sobrang galing ko?? Kelangan ba reviewhin ko mga swapping, palindrome etc .??

Last question, what is parity exam? May isang company kasi sabi kelangan daw muna ako magexam nun.??? Di ko pa inaapplyan. hehehe

ang mga type of exam naman, programming logic kumbaga. Halimbawa write a program that will say if the number is odd or even. *** mga ganun. Tinitignan lang nila kung marunong ka talaga at nakakaintindi ka.

my inaplayan ako, ganyan nga *** exam, nakapasa ako tapos interviews, tapos ok din. 16k ang offer nila sakin. .net ang gamit plus mysql. i'm having doubts kung itutuloy ko dito, mababa ata *** 16k.

try nio rin sa gurango corp. ganyan lang din ang exam, programming logic, *** mga looping. nagtry ako mag apply dito para sa OJT ko, ayos sa exam, saka confident ako pasa ako dun. next technical interview, bigay sila problem, solve mo sa white board and then explain. Nakuha ko kaya lang natagalan ng bongga bongga. grabe nakakaiyak *** technical interview. after nun, may isa pa daw na team ang mag iinterview, di na ko pumunta, isa pa malayo kasi samin.
Grabe byahe, tapos lakad lakad pa. sa libis to.

Study the following:

-Flowchart
-Basic programming (if then else,looping statement,case statement)
-Object Oriented Programming (any language)
-Database Queries(joining table,insert,update,delete,relationships)

For mental health
-Play strategy games (chess, red alert, etc)

If you want to prepared for Harvard Exams/aptitude
-study arithmetics, fractions, decimals(large numbers)
-study the vocabulary
-puzzles
-sequence

I think that's all you need for now.

just want to share lang..before i got a job in java, i dont have prior experience, turbo C lang alam ko,.but since *** exam di naman coding, more on logic and english..ayun natanggap ako kasi pagdating sa interview nilakasan ko confidence ko..siguro more than 10 kami and napili ako..so ganun talaga, try lang ng try..1 day lang application ko..

Okay pa ba tong thread? Tanong ko lang sana ano yung company? Wala din kasi ako experience sa ibang programming languages. PM na lang kung ok. Thanks!

Try to solve lang yung exam, kung hindi mo alam try mo pa din sagutan. Have confidence sa interview, look into the interviewer's eyes. Minsan kasi nakikita naman sa code mo na may potential kahit mali. And minsan nagbabase din sila sa attitude ng applicant. Pero syempre as much as possible, have a little background dun sa language na gamit ng pag applyan mo and pati simple OOP concepts.

Ok na naman yang 16k basta dapat may assurance na magka raise ka after ma regular. Sa amin pag entry level, usually 15-18k starting and 20-27k pag na regular depende sa performance mo.
