    2011-12 Barclays Premier League

    New fixtures released

The eagerly-awaited fixtures for the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season have now been released.

The new campaign kicks off on Saturday 13th August. Champions Manchester United begin the defence of their Barclays Premier League title away to West Bromwich Albion.

Runners-up Chelsea begin away to Stoke City.

Newly-promoted Swansea City play their first ever fixture in the Premier League away to Manchester City.

Neil Warnock's Queens Park Rangers host Bolton Wanderers while Norwich City go to Wigan Athletic.

Newcastle United meet Arsenal at St James' Park in a re-run of last season's thrilling 4-4 draw.

Liverpool are at home to Sunderland while Craven Cottage sees a match between two new managers as Fulham take on Aston Villa.

Everton go to Tottenham Hotspur while Blackburn Rovers face Wolverhampton Wanderers - just as they did on the final day of the 2010/11 campaign, although this time at Ewood Park.

    key matches

Fans will be keen to see the key matches between the teams who finished in the top four last season, although fixture dates are still subject to change.

The first of these is currently scheduled for the third weekend of the season when Arsenal go to Manchester United.

Predictions time? Let's start with the three clubs
who will be relegated next season.

I'd say two of the 3 newly promoted, and Wigan or WBA.

Wigan has a knack of sneaking past relegation. I'd say Swansea, Either Norwich or QPR (depending if Taarabt leaves) and Blackburn

I'm going to go for 2 of the newly promoted teams Swansea and Norwich, together with Wolves. But I've got a feeling that Villa will struggle this season.

How about the Top 4/Champions League clubs?

I'd say Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
I think LFC will snatch the CL spot from Arsenal this season.

    1st - Chelsea
    2nd - Man United
    3rd - Man City
    4th - Liverpool

Arsenal to drop out of the top 4, especially if they lose Fabregas and Nasri.
