I checked with a friend who is a FourSquare user & this he has to say;
4Sq(bb version) is BIS-dependent & will not work on wifi.
4Sq (iPhone version) will work on wifi

I just checked with Mobihand, it appear they list 3 apps of different version, on of which is working on my os6

Do you recall when Nokia 8310 (thin as Kit Kat) was costing 18,000php? Its the same story.

I thought that 1200-1500 is just about right (being comparable to where I am). I have the notion that BIS prices are standard everywhere(after checking the ones in Indonesia & Malaysia)

Anyway, like the N8310, BIS prices has to go down. In my experience, BIS the reason why I use a Blackberry for personal, professional & business use. Without BIS, Bb is just a notch up from standard phone. Sabi nga, "nag-Blackberry ka pa!"

kapag may BB unit ka, you have to get the BIS and other BB plans to make use of your phone, Globe know's that for a user of a BB phone that these plans are a "necessity" kaya they over price it.

it's business. may pagkasakim lang nga, pero that's the nature of the beast.

Hello co-BB users!

I'd like to seek your help. Currently po kasi, I am subscribed to Globe's BIS and have 150kb for mobile browsing. Both of them are part of my freebies so they should not reflect on my bill (or unbilled charges). Problem ko po, everytime I check my unbilled charges, parati may Blackberry charge, and each day, it keeps on shooting up, even if I barely use any application. I mean, I browse through wi-fi, tapos yung use ko ng BBM, very miminal. Right now, two days palang since my cut-off date for my bill, meron na ako charge na P43.00, which, when divided by 0.15 centavos, around 286+kb. I don't have any idea pano ko naconsume yun, and prior to that, I did the ff: 1)Logout to FB app 2)Turn off updates for BBM (does this matter? Do I get charged if I see updates in my BBM?) 3)Browse using Hotspot browser but only if I am connected to wi-fi (dito sure po ako na wi-fi talaga gamit ko because I watch lots of videos, eh kung nachcharge yun then libo libo na sana bill ko hehe). Ask ko lang guys, what else do I need to check, para maavoid ko yung absurdly-high Blackberry charges ko? I tried calling customer service ng Globe pero sad to say, mga nakausap ko, wala masyado alam. Thanks in advance sa sasagot or magtuturo ng link kung saan ako makakakuha ng sagot.

my bb won't turn on, red light keeps flashing. i removed the battery, waited more than a minute, put it back on, same thing. tried to charge it, same thing. connected it to pc, it doesn't recognize the device. had it checked sa globe, they used another battery, same thing. recommended for repair but i have to wait for 3 mos since it will be sent to sg pa.

any online solution i can do or center i can go to have it fixed? thanks!

nakapag install ako ng foursquare s BB ang problema, nagkanda-loko-loko yung phone ko, na blocked yung application at di ko na magamit yung phone, ayaw matangal yung "IT policy"

meron po ba ditong may katulad kung problema?
pano mo po tinggal?
ang dami ko ng ginawa saka pumunta na din ako sa service provider, wala pa ding nagawa

In os6 adding a friend by email is possible. If you were not able to ask, you will not know. Just keep on asking your friend.

Is it like YM chat or BbM where the conversation remain until you terminate?

Or does one mean being able to create an SMS with more than 160 character?

(I haven't use 9780 nor Torch/Storm)

Hardware problem na yan. I suppose your best bet is to have it fixed officially (sg in your case) or take a risk sa greenhills.

Hi! Question lang: if one has BIS, what other Blackberry plans are need to make use of the phone?

yug sa globe na BB Social, BB text ba yun? ska yung may dalawang version ng surfing plans ang BB, don't know kung ano na yung tawag ngayon.

but i think yung BIS activation is already activated if nag subscribed ka sa any of the plans/modes na yun.

You have it the other way around. If one has BIS, he don't need bbSocial & bbMail. Included yan (social & mail) sa BIS package.

If one is on bb social (or bb mail) only, then she is not on BIS

But one thing is sure: BIS is not cheap. Also BIS is not a surfing plan, its a package: one pay fixed price whether she use it or not.
