Mahirap magbilang ng sisiw ng di pa nababasag ang itlog...

Mahaba pa naman ang sesaon. Pero sana magtuloy tuloy. At palagi natin silang suportahan, kahit na asa baba o asa itaas man sila.

naawa ako nung sinigawan ni coach Atoy si Eriobu kanina nung crunch time. Mangiyak-ngiyak tuloy si Eriobu sa court. Pati din yung asst coach kay Menina.

    Nice finish good job cardinals

  8. #1588
Hopefully sana mas kumpletos rekados tayo next year para hindi lang final 4, kundi finals na, at sana mag kampeon.

May balita ba sa mga recruits natin for next season? Magtatake effect na ba ang ni import policy sa NCAA?

  10. #1590
Its a good season for the Cardinals but I was expecting more from them. At least a improvement from the third place finish last season. Now that we've a back to back third place finish, I hope that next season we will able to finish in the top two for a twice to beat advantage.

Well, I really hope that we have the right recruits to complement Allwell Oreame. And please, bring back the 3 point shooting next season that the Cardinals sorely miss this season.

    Sana nga.

Isa din yun na kulang sa atin, from first last seson sa 3pt field golas to last this season. Hopefully makapaglaro na din ulit si Nieles sa pg para makapg focus si Menina as 2 guard. Sino kaya papalit kay Eriobou, sana mas mahasa pa si Raflores lalo na moving with out the ball gaya ni Neil Pascual.

ano balita sa line up next season? Wala oraeme at menina... update mga kapatid

    Thanks

SAN JUAN City – Malayan High School of Science was crowned the champions of the 11th FilOil Flying V Premier Cup Juniors Division after frustrating Ateneo de Manila University, 89-82, Sunday (June 25) at the FilOil Flying V Arena. The victorious Red Robins unleashed a flurry of triples in a searing fourth rally and they held on down the stretch to preserve the win. READ MORE

Buti pa Red Robins nagchampion na. From cellar dwellers to champions sila last season ngayon naman Fil Oil nagchampion. Kailan kaya ang Cardinals magiging ganyan?

The prospects are rather dim this season. With Oraeme and Menina skipping this season and the graduation of Isit and Eriobu, the Cardinals are looking at a difficult road ahead for the final four. The team must work triple hard and be united as team or we're gonna have season like we had in the first two years of Atoy Co.

After flying away from Cardinals’ nest, Menina lands in NU

By Norman Lee Benjamin Riego on Jul 05, 2017

Darrell Menina will be spreading his wings and taking flight in another school, in another league.

Having left Mapua University last April, the five-foot-eight guard will now take his talents to National University.

“NU na po ako,” he shared with reporters before saying that he is already undergoing residency.

If all goes well, Menina said he will have two years of eligibility in the UAAP. “Sana po, makalaro talaga ako. Gusto ko rin po kasi talaga mag-UAAP,” he expressed.

The last two years, the Cebu native was a key cog in the Cardinals’ back-to-back playoff runs. In Season 93, he averaged 8.9 points and 3.3 assists.

Coach Atoy says Oraeme, Menina left Cardinals at worst possible time

By Norman Lee Benjamin Riego on Jul 05, 2017

Of Mapua University’s nine most used players a year ago, only Andoy Estrella, Laurenz Victoria, and Almel Orquina will be back for Season 93.

Yes, all of Alwell Oraeme, CJ Isit, Joseph Eriobu, Darrel Menina, Exi Biteng, and Justin Serrano will no longer be clad in red and yellow.

And so, safe to say, the clouds up above are nothing but dark for the Cardinals.

While players like Biteng, Eriobu, Isit, and Serrano were graduating and thus long known to be leaving, head coach Atoy Co lamented the sudden departures of Oraeme and Menina. “I was expecting Eriobu and Isit, but I wasn’t expecting the Nigerian and Menina to leave,” he said.

He then continued, “Everything is a big blow for us. All this happened only early this year and there’s no time already.”

Indeed, Oraeme departed Intramuros in April while Menina joined him out the door a month later. Ergo, only three to fourth months remained for the Mapua coaching staff to find adequate replacements.

And mind you, those replacements should only help out in making up for Oraeme’s 16 points, 20 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game as well as Menina’s 8.9 points and 3.3 assists per game.

Unfortunately for the faithful over at Intramuros, apparently, Co and his coaching staff have found no one to do just that – no one from his Team B or his recruits. “Hindi pa ready mag-step up yung iba. Hindi pa. hindi pa,” he expressed.

MANILA – Defending Juniors Division champion Malayan High School of Science started its title-retention bid in the 93rd National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) with a tough 78-75 decision against Arellano University Sunday (July 9) at the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Gym. The Red Robins had to rally from behind in the fourth period in an otherwise close contest.

Andrew Estrella hit a cold-blooded triple from top of the key with five seconds to play and lift Mapua University over Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 78-75, in a thriller from the 93rd National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) games at the FilOil Flying V Centre Tuesday (July 11).
