Hello! Since there is no existing thread for graduate students yet, and I feel I'm off the age bracket whenever I visit the threads for the younger batches (most especially the freshies thread), I decided to make a discussion group for us.

Please feel free to interact, make new friends, post research ideas, discuss issues, ask questions, or share your graduate school experience here.

By the way, I'm renz. MA economics student from UPSE. I'm about to start my thesis this coming school year.

Hahaha. Ewan ko ba ate luna. I really feel a lot older seeing younger students. I don't know if I should feel a little depressed about that or proud that I've been through, and will go through a lot of things.

Hi! I'll be taking the admission exam this Saturday, March 24 for MA Economics!!! Tips please. So nervous! I have no preparation at all.

Also, I'll be having the interview on Monday. My undergraduate course is BS Tourism. (Totally unrelated to economics) Would that matter? What kind of questions do they ask?

Regarding sa questions, most likely itatanong nila kung bakit ka dun mag-enrol, what are your passions, what will be your research topics of interest. Ganun. Tsaka i-assess ka kung kaya mo ba talaga mag-aral ng grad school, like kaya mo bang mag-aral habang nagwowork ka and all that.

Usually ang alam ko kelangan ng 1 year experience, pero depende yan sa college. Hehe.

For MA Econ, walang required work experience. For Masters in Development Economics, 2 years.
