regionalization there's Liga Pilipinas today what happen

commercialization why do we prefer celebrities they are also commercialized...

UAAP schools just represent the higher ups / intelligent people in our society in metro manila/ reaching to mega manila

that's why they are a advertising haven among advertisers

but still PBA is in the heart of local Filipinos people will watch a barangay liga game of their sons than a UAAP, National team even a nba game but they will still ask who win on a recent Ginebra game

lol our LOCAL footy will NEVER be bigger than PBA. No need to panic.

UAAP in-game atmosphere is miles better than PBA atmosphere. Rivalries are real rivalries, and the satisfaction from a win let alone a championship burns deeper and provides more euphoria than seeing your PBA team win.

Did anybody watch the Ginebra-BMEG game last night? The two MOST POPULAR teams in the league playing to a sparsely filled Araneta crowd. In contrast, yung two UAAP games shown earlier in the day in the same venue was jam-packed.

The PBA's stint in Studio23 is definitely not helping their problems in attendance and viewership. These days, napupuno lang ang PBA kapag finals na (provided that BGK and/or BMEG are playing).

Actually marami rami rin yung mga naka-pila sa red gate while waiting for the PBA game. Up to the Upper A sections lang yung crowd, after that wala na masyado sa taas.

^^ You do know it's an afternoon on a weekday right? And at least there are cheers and atmosphere in the stadium.

You're seriously basing it on one game?

  18. #57
2 games na boy....pati UE vs UP, konti lang tao...kahit gawin mong weekend game yan, ganun pa rin crowd nyan...

as i said before, blockbuster lang ang UAAP pag opening, ateneo-lasalle, last game ng elims, final 4 at finals....yun iba, nilalangaw talaga...proven na yan, boy!

Okay, clutching at straws it seems, one game day. The premise still stands, it's a school day afternoon and that's not the only basis why uaap is preferred.

And why are you basing your points solely on attendance?! It's as if the PBA is jam packed week in week out ginebra lang naman aasahan mong makakahakot ng fans, not to mention yung ibang team nagbabayad pa para lang may taga cheer.

the atmosphere produced by the UAAP alone is miles better. Not to mention the affinity with your alma mater will forever be with you - Majority of the PBA fans has none of those.

maybe we cant base it on the attendance sa game... there are a lot of people watching UAAP in their home... a lot of my friends watch UAAP but don't watch PBA

and there are lot of people, esp those not from the UAAP schools, that dont watch the UAAP too....di lang po sa metro manila ang pilipinas....marami kaya nanonood ng UAAP sa mga provinces? so you really can't say na mas patok ang UAAP sa PBA....sa metro manila pede pa siguro, pero sa buong pilipinas? i doubt it...
