Davis could be done. It's hard to recover from an ACL when you're young and at the peak of health, what more when you have a ton of mileage on your body.
my favorite baron davis moment:

Welcome to the NBA, where serviceable Chinese PGs can demand a lot of money for playing well in a 5 week span.
Speaking of Lin... I did a little back reading (more like first 3-5 pages of this thread), and I found out that X-Wind SAW LINSANITY before anyone did! He was riding the Lin bandwagon and I kept ignoring his posts about Lin, lol.
Props to X-Wind, hahaha, #Linsanity

At the end of the day, I have the utmost respect for Mike D'antoni. Great coach; just didn't work out here in NY. He's a system guy... he never had a shot here in NY because management never gave him the PG he needed.
When we got Felton, MD was able to showcase his system somewhat. I have to admit that the Amar'e-Felton-Gallo-Fields etc. days were one of the best games to watch as a Knicks fan.
Look at what he did to Lin. The guy just needs a PG who is above average and he can turn him into an All-Star caliber PG.
I was really disappointed that it didn't work out. I think the reason was because of Tyson Chandler. It was either Amar'e-Melo or Tyson-Melo. The three couldn't have worked. For Melo to thrive in MD's system he needed to be the 4. Melo is dominant playing the 4 spot. But that didn't happen because what Mike tried to do with Melo was play POINT FORWARD, because we had no fcking PG.
I hope Mike finds a good team. Clippers, Magic (with Dwight), Toronto (with Nash or Lin *hope he doesn't end there), and Portland are his potential landing spots. I'd surely follow any of these teams that he's gonna be coaching.
