    Noted!

Anyone noticed how quiet Sen. Pangilinan these past few weeks ever since these batang hamog incidents came out?

At least it's non-lethal. Zapping them like mosquitoes is a lot of fun. But, don't use pepper spray. I find it's dangerous to some people because it might cause allergies and prevent them from breathing. You might kill the little guy.

I don't know if this is accurate, bawal daw ang central locking system sa mga taxi. At dahil laging naka unlock ang cabs for potential passagengers, andali nila mabiktima.

Tulad ng isang poster, I keep a safe distance between mine and the next car. So pag tumapat, I rev.

Rob suspect not fast enough, this time

A 15-year-old boy, who had been tagged as a member of a criminal youth gang preying on motorists along Edsa, died after he was run over by a speeding vehicle Monday night, according to a belated report from the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Jomari Robilla, a resident of Cembo, Makati City, was accidentally hit by a Toyota Innova driven by Kum Ju Kim, a Korean national residing in Greenhills, San Juan City.

An investigation showed that around 11 p.m. last Monday, the suspect was driving along the northbound lane of Edsa when she accidentally hit the victim who was crossing Edsa near the Metro Rail Transit station in the Guadalupe (Makati) area.

The victim was rushed to Mandaluyong Medical Center, where he died the following day.

According to the MMDA, one Kathleen Coronel, a Mandaluyong City resident, identified the victim as the one who snatched her bag the night he met the accident.

The victim was reportedly among the boys preying on taxi drivers and passengers along the Edsa-Guadalupe area.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) have captured the gang while carrying out their modus operandi last month.

Members of the gang strike when vehicles are stuck in traffic, opening doors left unlocked and robbing the driver and passengers of their valuables.

The suspects then climb up the mesh-wire fences of the Metropolitan Railway Transit (MRT) tracks in the middle of Edsa to elude arrest.

The gang works in groups of three to five people and usually operates during the rush hour.

Hail to Kum Ju Kim! A true patriot; a job well done.

Although we are in no position to say that the kid deserves to die, I hope that serves as a warning to those other hamog boys. 1 down, dozens to go.

Kawawa naman yung Korean. Like she would expect some thief to suddenly jump in front of her vehicle out of nowhere along EDSA, tapos ngayon she's going to be charged pa with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

police are preparing the reckless imprudence resulting in homicide charges against Kim.

I keep thinking I could be in her shoes right now, around 2 months ago, I nearly hit one of these hamog boys. There were two boys who were running along EDSA near Makati, yung isa muntik ko nang matamaan. I was able to step on my brakes fast enough tapos when I looked back, they were still running and dodging cars along EDSA.

kahit hindi niya kasalanan may case parin ?

Sad to say, ganyan talaga ang batas sa atin. Maraming butas. In the first place, yung mga bata wala dapat sa kahabaan ng EDSA.

On a separate but rather similar note, 2 considered minors sa Caloocan, nangholdap, nangrape, at pumatay ng isang hostel employee.

there is still a flaw in this tactic because if the kids are persistent, kahit umandar ka pa, lalapit lang sila ulit. IMO.

i personally haven't encountered this yet, but if did, baka kung anong magawa ko sa mga bata. though I really want to have one of them tazers.

    EDSA 'jumper boys' strike again
    Posted at 07/20/2012 10:12 AM

A group of teenage boys were caught on camera trying to rob passengers of private vehicles along EDSA on Thursday night.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage showed three daring teenagers jumping over the railings of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) along EDSA-Orense.

One of the teenagers was almost hit by a vehicle while he was escaping.

Several teenagers made the news after they were caught opening taxi doors and taking off with the passengers’ valuables.

They usually strike when traffic along EDSA is heavy.
