Parang every episode they a new story with new monsters to tackLe. Pwede naman sana pero dapat each episode wiLL lead to Nick's understanding of his being Grimm. Kasi with how the story goes, pwede mong ma-miss ang episode kasi waLa namang connect with each other.

I think they are following the same formula of Smallville to have a "freak-of-the-week" kind of theme. But that's understandable because they are establishing Clark Kent's early days, and there's a long-term plan for Smallville.

For Grimm on the other hand, I don't think this will work. They need to have fast-paced storyline otherwise, the show will be a goner at the end of the television season.

Last Friday's rating was even last week to a series low 1.6. By NBC's standard, 1.6 for a Friday show is a goner at the of this season, lucky if they got a full-season order.

Medyo it's a compromise to having Grimm balance itself as an episodic procdeural show (new case every week) with a serialized nature (Nick's full acceptance of his heritage and the destiny he is fated to fulfill). Smallville, Charmed, Fringe and even the X-Files all had those similar problems before finally hitting their creative stride. Since it's still too early to tell, we'll have to wait til the show finally find its footing.

say wut? di ba may progress naman ang story arc kahit little by little (every episode pa nga), and ep 4 pa lang naman. someone's inip i'm sure it'll be pieced together by the season finale (or by mid-season). at yung pagka-CSI niya simula pa lang ganun na yung tag ng GRIMM, procedural/fantasy. expect to have this monster of the week thing for a long time, hanggang maubusan sila ng monsters (if not for the rest of the series) but i must agree a deviation would be nice from time to time.
