FABIE IS THE NUMBER ONE PICK OVERALL

Team Hoyas got a big lift in the 2012 PEXBALL rookie camp as it drafted 6'4 Center Waf Fabie who became league's 9th Overall First Pick.

Fabie, who was the tallest among the applicants in this year's draft, showed skills of a dependable big man by scoring inside and out and grabbing rebounds as well.



Team Lynx used the #2 pick overall to nab 6'1 Center Aldrin Gregorio while Team Packers filled up the hole in their lineup by picking the highly touted Mike Brua as the draft's 3rd overall pick.

The biggest surprise of the first round came from the Team Titans pick as it chose 5'11 Center Forward Paul Alguno over its advertised pick Lorenz Figueroa.



Team Pandas strenghten its frontcourt as it chose strongman Christian Sanggalang as the First Round fifth overall pick while Team Lions decided to draft the 5'10 Alexander Bacani on its turn in the round.


Team Tigers then nabbed high flying forward Christian Manalang while Blupers used its 8th pick to draft guard Garby Ventura

Arsenals decided to strengthen its backcourt by choosing Arvie Vicencio as their pick in the round.

Figueroa was then picked by defending champions Spartans while Team Lynx added ceiling on its lineup by choosing 6'0 Frebe Denesado


The draft was considered as one of the deepest in the league's history as teams appreared to be satisfied with their picks and confident that they can make some noise come tournament time in May 2012.

The plan of having another new team aside from Team Lynx, was scrapped as some of the 52 rookies who confirmed didn't show it on the D-day

After the draft the competing teams then held a small meeting where the matchups on the opening day were revealed.

HOYAS NAGPALAKAS. HIGANTENG FABIE NAKUHA SA ROOKIE DRAFT!


Pinalakas ng Team Hoyas ang kanilang pwersa sa paparating na 2012 PEXBALL Tournament matapos nitong masungkit sa PEXBALL Rookie Camp / Draft ang gentle giant na si Waf Fabie na siyang naging #1 Overall Pick ngayong taon.

Ipinamalas ni Fabie ang kanyang galing sa naganap na scrimmage kung saan hindi lamang ito umiskor sa loob ng shaded lane kundi pati na rin as perimeter na nagpahanga sa ilang mga team scouts at represenatatives.



Ginawa naman ng Team Lynx bilang kanilang kauna-unahang draft pick sa kanilang franchise si 6'1 Center Forward Aldrin Gregorio habang hinirang naman bilang 3rd Pick overall ang maliit ngunit matinik na gwardya si Michael Brua na siyang napunta sa koponang Packers.

Naging kontrobersyal ang ika-apat na pick ng piliin ng Team Titans si Paul Alguno bilang kanilang First Round pick na ikanagulat ng husto ng ilang mga koponan

Nabatid na maugong ,ilang linggo bago ang draft na pipiliin ng Titans si 5'9 Forward Lorenz Figueroa ngunit biglang nagbago ang isip ng mga ito nang makita si Alguno.

Binunot naman ng Team Pandas bilang ika limang pick sa first round si Totoy Bato na si Christian Sanggalang habang pinili naman bilang ika anim na pick ng Team Tigers ang high flyer na si Christian Sanggalang

Napunta naman sa Arsenals ang high scoring guard na si Arvie Vicencio habang napulot ng defending champions na Spartans si Figueroa bilang ika-sampung pick sa first round

Tinapos naman ng Team Lynx ang makasaysayang round ng makuha nila ang 6'0 center na si Frebe Denesado na siyang magbibigay ng twin tower para sa bagong team ng liga.

Ang 2012 rookie draft ang sinasabing isa sa mga pinakamalalim na draft class sa kasaysayan ng PEXBALL dahil hanggang sa kadulo-duluhan na pick ay masasabing may ibubuga sa liga.




Abangan ang pagbubukas ng ika siyam na season at ika-labing isang taon ng PEXBALL ngayong Mayo 2012.

PEXBALL 2012
Tournament Format

I. First Round Eliminations

All teams will play a single round robin which means each team will have 9 games each.

II. Second Round Eliminations

the 10 participating teams will be divided into 2 Divisions

Division 1 - this will be made up of Seeds 1,3,5,7,9

Division 2 - this will be made up of Seeds 2,4,6,8,10

Teams will play division mates once. records from the first round will be carried over. teams will have an additional 4 games each

total games for each team in the eliminations. 13

III. Playoffs

Playoffs will patterned with the NBA format wherein the Division #1 seed will meet Division #4 seed while Division #2 seed will battle with Division #3. #1 and #2 will hold a twice to beat advantage.

Example

Division A
#1 vs #4
#2 vs #3

Division B
#1 vs #4
#2 vs #3

Winners of the Division Semifinals will meet for the Division Championship which will be a best of 3 affair.

Division Champions will meet for the Tournament Championship which will be a Winner take all Affair.

* in case a team sweeps the elimination round, that team will automatically enter the semifinals holding a twice to beat advantage while leaving the 3 others battling for the last semifinal slot.

EXAMPLE

Division #3 vs. Division #4 (knockout game)

Winner of the Knockout game will meet Division #2 who will hold a twice to beat advantage.

IV. Tournament Finale

Tournament Finals will feature Division Champions. It would be a winner take all game regardless if one team ends up undefeated in the eliminations

Before the Tournament finale, there will be an All Star Game featuring players from teams who failed to make it in the finals.

There will also be side events to spice up the said event.
