but i like that though. mas nagagamit yung parry/roll and thinking about your attack plan/attack timing and using your skills more than relying on quen.

anyway, if you like to use quen more, you can always upgrade it on the skill tree.

This game is amazing. I'm just bothered by the huge insects. I get easily scared by them. But it's a brilliant RPG. Hope to finish it soon.

^endregas? use quen and try to use the insectoid oil (whatever it is) and hit them 1-2-3 then back/roll away, and repeat till it dies. mixing up your soft/hard sword attacks is important.

Just finished Dark mode. I really appreciate the added cutscenes and content in chapter 3 for the Enhanced Edition. Two thumbs up for CD Projekt Red!

damn...bumili ako ng Witcher 1 sa steam less than 10usd siya. bakit...bakit ganun ang combat. click then click then click? what? im dissapoint lol.

sa witcher 2 ganun din ba ang combat? akala ko same combat gameplay ng dark souls pero hindi pala. wala kasing demo sa steam hindi ko tuloy natry bago bumili. badtrip talaga bakiiiiiit ganun ang combat

Witcher 1's combat is more like Diablo. So yeah, click ng click ng click.

Witcher 2's combat is a lot more action oriented with the controller in mind (hence the Xbox 360 version).

You can't go wrong with Witcher 1 though. It's an excellent game with good storytelling.

actually mas gusto ko combat sa Witcher 1. may fast, heavy, and group stances. reactive ang combat.

sa witcher 2 pwede ka na manalo kaka pipindot at puro dodge.

hindi naman mala diablo ang combat ng Witcher 1. more on timing and reaction sa follow-up indicator.

W1 mas RPG ang feel nya. W2 parang ginawa talagang pang console. it's an action RPG made for console gamers. pero in fairness maganda din story. mature at saka daming politics.

baka itry ko ang witcher 2. pero yung witcher 1 kasi need mo mouse click then mouse click for follow up combo...its ok kung parang torchlight siya na pagka click eh tira na agad yung witcher kasi parang...ewan lol hirap iexplain first time ako makalaro ng ganung klaseng approach sa combat eh...

mas prefer ko din ang W1 overall, yes including the combat
I grew up with RPGs kasi, not action games

W1 you switch styles depending on the situation, mas tactical para sakin
especially on the higher levels na madami ka na moves/skills/potions and different enemy types swarm you

but W1 was not praised for its combat,
ang nagdala dyan is atmosphere*, (its hit or miss)
plus the choices you make on the story that branch out**

* - I spent plenty of downtime in W1 just immersing and listening to tracks like this and this and this
2 didn't have as much of that (pero best graphics ang 2 )

** - only Alpha Protocol does choices better than Witcher this gen, Fallout New Vegas is close behind
W2 is better than 1 in this regard though, I always say W2 is "2 games in 1"

I've read on GAF most will give up na sa prologue pa lang,
especially those na hindi sanay with CRPGS,
I say give it a try until chapter 1 end,

if chapter 2 ayaw mo pa din (when you get to the city),
then stop na hehe

just played this again with EE last week, hirap na hirap nanaman ako sa combat. normal mode pero pakiramdam ko dark mode.

this game really has a steep learning curve kahit nalaro mo na before.

agree with veynn, itong W2 treats you as an adult. everything is grey.

prologue pa lang ako. sobrang gusto ko ng witcher 2 kaya nung nadeads ang ps3 ko (RIP) eh nagdecide ako mag build ng gaming pc. sige try ko umabot ng chapter 1 baka nagulat lang ako sa combat gameplay ng witcher1 hehe

^ tulad ng sabi ni veynn, sa witcher 2, you can roll and roll like sonic the hedgehog. its probably the single most important tactic sa combat in this game. try to get back stabs, mas malaki damage and avoid being backstabbed too. dedo ka agad sa prologue pag na backstab ka.

as the dwarves would exclaim: "Melitele's t**s!"

and the nudity is not crass in this game. its very... very... nicely done.
