badtrip naman kung hindi na maiinterrupt ng kalaban yung mga tira. wala na yung "realism" to say the least. saka it could make the game less challenging dahil sa button mashing lalo na during sword fights

unless you go magic (current build now) spam igni, quen, aard and heliotrope (witcher slow mo :lol) and kill them like a boss.

anyway, nakakatawa yung mga ayaw sa game na to. and most of them are those na ayaw ng strategic gameplay where you will really have to think and mix-up game style according to every situation.

sanay sa hackslash, hack slash, dedz ang kalaban, end of game.

The Witcher 2 did not arrive yesterday at my local Datablitz. Maybe it will today.

Reported price of the game at DB is P2,095 and it is the Asian NTSC-J version.

    ^different story
they just reference the things you did in part 1 through conversations
and some characters from 1 make a brief appearance
    you wont be missing much

but fwiw, I prefer the 1st witcher,
it felt more like a witcher game (hunting monsters, more mingling with peasants, gloomy areas, more lore)
the 2nd was more actiony and faster paced, and the tone of the story was political
while the 1st's tone was low-key and personal, you were just being a witcher

2 is the better game overall though, if I look at it objectively
you are buying 2 games in 1 package

I like Witcher 1 because it felt like an old-school RPG. World exploration is like Neverwinter Nights since it uses the same engine (Aurora Engine).

Witcher 2 is okay. Great story. More hack and slash action. Role-playing is limited to dialogue choices like Mass Effect. Less adventuring. Typical RPG you market for console gamers.

I finally bought my copy of The Witcher 2 at Datablitz today. It cost me P2,000 since I paid in cash. P2,095 is the regular rate when paid with card.

To my surprise, it's the PAL version but it was no problem since it's completely compatible with my Asian NTSC-J Xbox 360. I played the game for over three hours and I must say that it sure is deeply engaging in regards to gameplay and storytelling.

More on the package, it had a nice map, the quest handbook and game instructions. I found it weird that the game came with 3 DVDs (2 for the game, 1 for the soundtrack) and those discs had to be fitted on one slot. I guess a little inconvenience is a tiny price to pay for such a great game.

I can hardly wait to go back playing The Witcher 2. It's that great!

di ko nalaro yung first game so i can't say anything about that

as far as TW2 is concerned, its the ONLY game that treated me like an adult. and the politics. i loved that. played it 3 times already and i still think its awesome everytime.

The mature approach of storytelling and expression is indeed a great aspect of the game. So much, it made me forget about those immature crap, characters and concepts seen in Japanese RPGs like Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Final Fantasy XIII, and Infinite Undiscovery to name a few.

I'm enjoying The Witcher 2 much better than with Mass Effect 3.
