mY gtx 460 is being underwhelmed due to my old dual core lolz, i get similar performance regardless of the graphical settings XD.

I wouldn't worry about skyrim, i bet being a console port that it is, you won't need ultra beefy PC to run it.
A patch is on the way this week, and will address numerous issues including memory leaks (the game tends to slow down over time)

I tend to like sandbox games and and are not into dragon age and mass effect but witcher 1 and 2 is something i enjoy playing

Sa arm wrestling, just move the mouse pointer left or right, keeping the pointer dead center dun sa yellow bar. If done correctly, the bar will slowly move to the right side until you win the game.

Sana maglagay sila ng UI improvements sa patch. Not being able to delete and overwrite saved games while in-game is really getting on my nerves.

heard na GOG (DRM-FREE) version has better performance than other versions... kung balak niyong bumili ng the witcher 2, has high internet speed and doesn't mind about the physical disc, freebies etc. then grab the GOG version..

anybody else liking the combat so far? even in mobs you get to see CD Projekt made sure tactics is in full swing. Geralt sure can dish out slash sword-sign-duck-dive-parry-swing movements with fluidity. may awkward dives nga lang toward a mob instead of moving away from them if you click more than you wanted to.

i just hope there is a permanent or larger storage for your stuff.

yes, the retail ones that has DRM has worse performance, good thing that the upcoming patch will fix that, giving the game around 5-30% boost in performance, lots of tech fixes in the game as well, ngayon dapat labas nun pero na delay.

The combat can be punishing at first pero pag nasanay na and you gain skills, mas enjoyable na.

patch is already out, no more waiting around 30 seconds or so before you enter the game itself, my framerates have improved noticeably as well

Just finished. Try ko naman yung alternate path/s on my second playthrough.

Comment lang. Medyo nabitin ako dun sa last chapter. I mean, there was a slow build up nung plot on the first chapters then pagdating sa last chapter BAM! Parang isang bagsakan sinalampak sa yo yung resolution

How to install Patch 1.2

PLEASE NOTE: Patch 1.2 may be installed differently depending on circumstances.

any new installation of the game will be automatically updated to include patches 1.1 and 1.2 when you run the game launcher and confirm that you wish to update the game to its newest version,
game copies previously updated to version 1.1 will be automatically updated to version 1.2 when you run the game launcher and confirm that you wish to update the game to its newest version.

If no active Internet connection is present, patches may be manually downloaded from our website at http://thewitcher.com/patch/. To update your installed game copy, run the downloaded .exe file(s), making sure to update to version 1.1 before installing Patch 1.2.

If you installed and activated a copy of the game after its release date, thereby downloading and installing the day zero patch, but you did not then install Patch 1.1, auto-patching will not work on your game copy. Some traders also provide barbershop services. For a small fee, Geralt can get them to change his hairstyle. Search notice boards for information about barbers and coiffeuses offering services of this nature in a given location. In Flotsam, in Chapter 1 of the game, these services are available from the antique book dealer Einar Gausel. In Chapter 2, look either for Sambor in Henselt’s Camp or for Felicia Cori in Vergen. This apprentice sorceress also provides hairstyling services in Loc Muinne, in Chapter 3 of the game.

The game menu now loads at a markedly accelerated pace.
The game now supports Logitech G35 headphones and other USB headsets with on-board sound cards.

Analog sticks on gamepads now work correctly in the GUI panels.

Issue involving the equipping of bombs (or other items) even if they were not present in the character Inventory has been fixed.
Islamic–themed and similar textures have been deleted and/or replaced.
A number of fixes have been made in game dialogues.
Issue that blocked advancement to the next level at the start of Chapter 3 has been fixed.
Issue involving the occurrence of T-poses upon the destruction of nekker nests has been corrected.
Guards can no longer block Geralt when he is on a ladder.
Knives no longer affect friendly NPCs.
Bug related to using some containers has been fixed.
Ostmurk (an ingredient required to complete a quest) can no longer be sold.
Ingredients required to complete the “Melitele's Heart” quest have been added to the game.
A fix has been introduced in the “Troll Trouble” quest whereby the she–troll’s head can be won in a game of dice poker.
The Ghost of the Banner can no longer be killed by wraiths.
Issue involving the Operator being neutral and thus susceptible to being killed before any conversation occurs has been fixed.
A number of fixes have been introduced to prevent selected NPCs from being blocked (king in siege tower, knights when destroying a gate in the Prologue, etc.).
The “Three Sisters” quest has been fixed so that the door does not remain locked forever once the quest has been completed.
A number of progression breaks have been fixed, including instances of blocked meditation, inability to save game, and blocked combat after use of static cameras (e.g. game could not be saved after completion of the “Indecent Proposal” quest).
The progression break during the fight against the dragon in Chapter 3 (exploration not working properly) has been fixed.
The progression break during the fight against Dethmold (whereby he sometimes remained behind his barrier, doing nothing) has been fixed.
The progression break (black screen) in the "Little Shop of Dreams" quest has been fixed.
The progression break following failure to complete the ritual with Anezka has been fixed.
The progression break during the dialogue on the beach in the “Hung Over” quest has been fixed.

I'm still at the early stages of the game but I am somewhat disappointed with the combat techniques especially the one were you have a bare fist fight with an opponent, first time I saw it I was like what was that?. I could see flashing W, A, S, D and when I was able to click one of it I saw a barrage of WASD, f@ck.

Sana kumuha sila ng idea sa Assassin's Creed Brotherhood fighting technique tapos lagyan na lang ng powers and all that stuff from a witcher.

laro ka lang you'll get the hang of it lalo na pag malakas na character mo. i finished this game once already on hard.

IMO Geralts fighting techniques are good enough, hindi kasi button mashing itong game. Find circle of powers with your medallion before fighting. Drink potions before a major fight or even before minor mob fights. Find a clearing first usually not so far from the enemies so you can meditate. use brown oils too to increase bleeding. you need to do all of this quickly before the timers run out.

Use Quen often because this absorbs damage very well. i find Yrden very useful too especially for boss fights where they usually charge towards you. initially throw in some swift blows but before they can recover/block put some Yrdens in front of them then let them attack again...rinse and repeat. if Quen runs out get away first then activate it again. be patient and use parrying or 'e' as successful blocks often stuns them good enough for you to counter.

sa simula traps like Conflagration are good for mob control. Talgar Winter is best used in boss/mini boss fights. just get some distance away from enemies 1st to set them. bombs are too slow and hard to aim for me that i often blow up with them

the rest lie on your build. don't forget about mutagens that you can put on your charcter tree. always be on the lookout for rare/epic ones.

yung WASD or QTE's (quick time events) doesn't bother me that much, actually it adds some drama to boss fights
