Exclusive: Jeweler Robert Procop: "It's Beautiful How In Love" Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Are

Looking for proof that Brangelina are the real deal?

Just ask their longtime friend Robert Procop -- the jeweler responsible for designing Angelina Jolie's engagement ring from Brad Pitt.

"Brad and Angelina are a very romantic couple," Procop, who met Jolie after dressing her for the Oscars years ago, told Us Weekly at a fete celebrating his Robert Procop Exceptional Jewels pop-up at the Grand in the South of France. (Procop is currently collaborating with Jolie on a jewelry collection, Style of Jolie, whose proceeds will go to Jolie's foundation, Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.) "They always knew they'd be together forever and get married one day, right from the start," he adds.

As Jolie and Pitt -- who met on the 2004 set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith -- have matured, so has their relationship, says Procop.

"The relationship may have been all flying planes and riding motorcycles at the start, but any new relationship is exciting that way," he says. "Now though, they've settled into this wonderfully strong family unit and it's beautiful how in love they are."

Adds the designer, "They're both lovely, very talented people that compliment each other . . . when you're with them, you can see how strongly in love they are."

Over the years, Procop says both Jolie, 37, and Pitt, 48, have sought his help custom-making gifts for one another.

"Angelina came to me six years ago to create a pendant for Brad as a present," he reveals. "She's very clever and had this idea that it would be like an ancient tablet, and she researched it looking at old Chinese and Egyptian scripts . . . [it] has a love letter from him to her inscribed on it."

So naturally, when it came time to pop the question to the mother of his six children, Pitt turned to Procop for help designing a ring for his bride-to-be. (The final result is a piece of jewelry boasting an estimated 16-carat, emerald-cut diamond and worth approximately $500,000.)

As for their wedding bands?

"Over the years, I have been entrusted with some wonderful secrets," Procop teases. "I'd never share something that should be between two people and that is very romantic and special and something for them."

London, July 26 — British singer Myleene Klass, who recently turned designer, wants actress Angelina Jolie to wear her clothes from the collection.

The 34-year-old recently launched her first fashion collection and she says she would love to see Jolie don the black maxi dress.

Finally, the gossip world gives us some good news. (No more of that actress cheats on possibly-fake boyfriend stuff. I just can’t handle more heartbreak today.)

The UK’s Sun newspaper tells us that Paul Allen and Bill Gates might be feeling friendly again, as Gates reportedly plans to attend an Olympics-themed party party on Allen’s yacht near London. (Allen dissed Gates in his memoir, you may remember.)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are also on the guest list, and a “source” told the Sun that “Paul’s party is going to be amazing.”

Maybe Gates will show up just to score a little face time with Hollywood’s golden couple?

Looks like the family is really laying low. Class will start Aug in the US. I think its the same in the UK. We might get some sightings of the kids in school or some outing.

Gah! Its the London Olympics but I'm so busy I've got this ambivalent feeling about it. Something's not right. I used to look forward to watching it and really follow the events. Right now Olympic fever has yet to catch up with me.

KS case is totally different from AJBP. First of all, AJBP never cheated. In fact, they spent a lot of time in talking & contemplating about their feelings and what they really wanted in life. Of course, it cannot be denied and pretty obvious that there was an emotional connection between them BUT that they never acted on it physically. They made it sure that what they have was not just a fleeting moment. Not just an attraction but a deeper connection between them They saw to it that before they got together, neither of them is in a relationship. Remember, AJBP is not a FLING, it’s serious. That’s why they are now in their almost 8-year of being together.

Over 60,000 ecstatic fans packed the Olympic Stadium in London, for a historic three-hour celebration following years of intensive planning and preparation for the 2012 Games.

‘Olympic Games’ is an anagram of ‘Employs Magic’ and 'Slumdog Millionaire' director Danny Boyle was charged with overseeing every aspect of the Olympics extravaganza, which even included simulated rain to reflect the British weather.

International royalty and 120 world leaders were there to witness the proceedings, as were celebrities such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

The beginning of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament on Wednesday was the first official event for 2012, but the Opening Ceremony acted as a spectacular curtain-raiser, which was watched by an estimated audience of one billion.

During the show, there was a nod to the beautiful game with the early form of the sport being replicated on a village green, while the anthem of the English FA Cup, 'Abide With Me' was sung - as was the anthem of local Premier League side West Ham United, 'I'm forever blowing bubbles.'

Speaking about the show, Lord Coe, the LOCOG Chairman said: “It’s built around the athletes. The march through of the athletes is very important. The show will say a lot about our country, but I want it to be a dedication and a welcome, a British welcome, to the athletes of the world.”

“It’s the athletes’ night and they don’t want to rush of course,” responded Boyle. “There are 10,500 of them from 204 nations.”

British Prime Minister David Cameron responded by saying that the country must show the world "the best of Britain" over the next two weeks. "We have got a great past, a very exciting future and this is a great moment for our country, so we must seize it,' he said.

Real farmyard animals featured included 70 sheep, 12 horses, three cows, chickens and ducks. Music accompanied much of the proceedings, with Sir Paul McCartney the closing musical act before a spectacular fireworks display.

Sorrentino's Next Film to be Set in Rome; Could Feature Angelina Jolie


The film, called "The Great Beauty," will star Toni Servillo as a journalist. It is Servillo's third appearance in a Sorrentino production.

ROME – Paolo Sorrentino, who won two Cannes jury prizes in the last five years and whose last film, This Must Be the Place, was his first project set outside Italy, will return to Rome for his next project, which he says will feature Angelina Jolie in a small role.


Sorrentino is the 42-year-old Neapolitan director behind Il Divo, the film that told the story of Italy’s polarizing political icon Giulio Andreotti, which won the Cannes jury prize in 2008. He followed with This Must Be the Place, which starred Sean Penn as an ageing rocker out to avenge the man who revealed that his father had been a Nazi and won Cannes’ Ecumenical Jury prize in 2011.

Two earlier Sorrentino films, Amico di Famiglia (Family Friend) from 2006 and Le Conseguenze dell’amore (The Consequences of Love) from 2004 also screened in competition in Cannes.

Sorrentinto said his next film, La grande bellezza (The Great Beauty), will be set in Rome. The film, which he said will have a cameo role for Jolie, will star Toni Servillo, who will play a La Dolce Vita-style reporter. It is tentatively scheduled for release in 2013, though it is not clear whether it will be finished in time to become Sorrentino's fifth consecutive film to screen in competition in Cannes.

The film will be Servillo’s third collaboration with Sorrentino: he played a small role in Conseguenze dell’amore and played the central role of Andreotti in Il Divo.

Angelina Jolie: Cameo in Paolo Sorrentino's 'Great Beauty'?



Angelina Jolie will be making a small appearance in Paolo Sorrentino‘s The Great Beauty, according to the filmmaker himself!

The film will be set in Rome and feature frequent Sorrentino collaborator Toni Servillo, who will play a La Dolce Vita-style reporter, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Angelina, who is currently wrapping up work on Maleficent, will have a cameo role, though details on the part are being kept under wraps.

If the film is finished on time, it will become Sorrentino‘s fifth film in a row to land at the Cannes Film Festival.

Alec Baldwin rules out reality TV show

Alec, 54, also spoke about the people he admires in the industry. He is a big fan of Brad Pitt, but can't imagine ever being as popular as the Hollywood star.

Alec marvelled at the amount of roles Brad must pass up, claiming that for every movie he goes ahead with he probably turns down ten more.

He joked Brad has scripts which could "fill this room" and thinks Ryan Gosling is in the same boat.

"Ryan has all the things you need to be a male film star. You need three things, really. You need masculinity, sensitivity and intelligence? he's making smart choices. Because there's a lot of pressure," Alec explained.

WEDDING BELLES: DINNER WITH BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE’S ENGAGEMENT RING DESIGNER ROBERT PROCOP

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a good week or so and now I have a very rare quiet moment I’ve finally found the time.

The Brangelina clan were staying there at Paul Allen’s while we visited- she had a few days off from filming Maleficent in the UK and the extensive building work at Miraval makes it a headache to stay there with so many kids. So they’ve been jetting back and forth to see Robert and keep an eye on how the Style of Jolie’s selling (pretty well, by the way) and soak up some sun a short flight away from Britain’s non-existent summer.

Robert’s lovely. Very smiley and charming and welcoming and he even had a bottle of Brad and Angelina’s Chateau Miraval rosé chilling on ice for us upon our arrival. They’d given a case of it to him the week before when he’d popped down to see the renovations at the house and he cracked one open for us. Good man. I fell in love with him right there and then.

I also tried on this diamond bracelet, which is similar to one that Brad gave Angelina for Christmas two years ago and has all six childrens names engraved in the stones which are shaped like bricks. The rose gold is very soft against your skin and I have to say if I had to have a personal jeweller Robert would be the man.



For five years, Brad’s been wearing a gold pendant which Angelina asked Robert to create as a gift for him and which has a love letter from Angelina engraved in the diamond at the centre. You can’t see the engraving with the naked eye but he’s not taken it off since she gave it to him.
