Sharlto Copley In Talks To Join Angelina Jolie in Disney’s ‘Maleficent’

EXCLUSIVE: Sharlto Copley is in negotiations to play the male lead opposite Angelina Jolie in Disney’s Maleficent. He will play King Stefan in the live-action film, which tells the backstory of Sleeping Beauty and why the evil fairy (played by Jolie) cursed Princess Aurora in the first place. The film is scheduled to come out March 14, 2014. The news comes on the heels of Copley joining Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego’s Open Grave and closing his deal to play the villain in Spike Lee’s Oldboy, a remake of Park Chan-wook 2003′s Korean revenge thriller. Copley, repped by WME, just finished work on District 9 filmmaker Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium opposite Matt Damon and Jodie Foster.

Robert Stromberg, the production designer on Avatar along with Disney’s Alice In Wonderland and Oz: The Great And Powerful is directing Maleficent. Linda Woolverton, whose work includes The Lion King and Alice In Wonderland, is writing the script. Joe Roth is producing.

Angelina Jolie's Wedding Dress: Versace or Michael Kors Says NINA GARCIA

Project Runway judge Nina Garcia has some interesting thoughts about Angelina Jolie's wedding dress. She sees Hollywood's royal bride in something simple and sleek, either from Versace or even Nina's fellow judge Michael Kors.

While Nina knows that Jolie is passionate about Versace, she says Kors' couture would also fit her well. "I don't expect her (Angelina) to wear anything lacy or anything too romantic," said Garcia. Instead she sees her in something very easy. "She seems to be very not fussy," Garcia notes.

Nina recognizes that Brangelina is America's royal couple. However, she doesn't see the popular pair lording either fame or fortune over everyone's heads. Nor does she think their wedding day will be "over the top".

She's probably right. Angie and Brad prefer spending money on their many charitable causes. It wouldn't be surprising if, in lieu of wedding presents, they asked guests to make charitable donations instead. It's just a part of who they are.

Nina's also right on track with Angelina's fashion style. The lovely brunette prefers sleek sophistication to anything dramatic, romantic or frilly. She won't deviate too far from that even for her wedding dress.

We can only imagine the gazillion sketches fashion designers have sent to Angelina Jolie in the hope that she picks them to create her wedding dress.

But Project Runway star Nina Garcia thinks Brad Pitt's bride-to-be won't be looking at too much…

"I could see her in Michael Kors-slash-Versace," Garcia told us last night at the launch of the Havaianas + Baby Buggy Mother's Day Mommy & Me collection at the London West Hollywood hotel.

"She wears a lot of Versace, but I also think she looks very good in Michael," she said. "There's something very easy. She seems to be very not fussy."

While Garcia says that "Angelina and Brad is our royal wedding," she also said not to expect anything too over the top.

"I don't expect her to wear anything lacy or anything too romantic," she said. " I think it will be more streamlined and sleek."

As for Angie's now-infamous bare-right-leg posing, Garcia laughed, "Maybe she'll have both legs out."

The French-born actress is due to begin shooting action movie 300: Battle of Artemisia in Bulgaria this summer. Eva has embarked on a rigorous exercise regime to prepare for her role, and dreams of replicating the strength and beauty of her fellow Hollywood star.

“I need to look like a warrior. I need to look good, but also to have the mental strength that makes you feel like you could be a commander. In the morning, I keep saying to myself, ‘My body is a temple, my body is a temple!’” Eva explained to the latest issue of UK magazine InStyle. “The thing is, I don’t want to look very stiff and manly, you know? Jolie 'proud' of Sarajevo honour

Angelina Jolie has said she is grateful and proud to have officially been named an honorary citizen of Sarajevo and that she will visit the city this summer to personally express her gratitude.
The Hollywood star was given the honour at a ceremony this week as a result of her movie In The Land Of Blood And Honey, a love story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war.
A statement previously issued by the city's authorities said it made the decision in recognition of the star's role in preserving the "truth about the war" in Bosnia through the film, which marked her directorial debut.
In an audio message played during the ceremony on Thursday, the actress said she was "proud to now be a part of such an extraordinary part of the world and fellow citizen to the people I deeply love and admire".
Angelina was invited to attend the ceremony but said in her message she would be able to visit in July.

Perez Hilton Sued for $500K Over Angelina Jolie Ring Claim

Gossip blogger Hilton (real name: Mario Armando Lavandeira) has been slapped with a lawsuit after reporting that the man who designed Jolie's ring had previously been found guilty of fraud.

Hilton's report, published April 17 on his Coco Perez offshoot site, claimed that jeweler Robert Procop, who designed the ring with Pitt, had previously been successfully sued for fraud by a customer named Roy Allenstein. Allenstein supposedly discovered that the necklace he purchased from Procop contained only 17.62 carats of diamonds instead of 25.5 carats after having it appraised.

The report goes on to claim that the court awarded Allenstein $89,000 in the suit.

But Procop says that's a lie, and now Hilton has found himself in a real-life court drama.

The ever-popular Sharlto Copley now signs on to join Angelina Jolie in Maleficent

Sharlto Copley has been one hot commodity as of late, hasn’t he? Hell we barely just got finished telling you about the actor (right) joining both OLDBOY and OPEN GRAVE and now here we are with news on Copley being in talks to star in another project.

Deadline Hollywood has the word that Copley is now in talks to star in Disney’s MALEFICENT alongside Angelina Jolie. If he signs on Copley will be playing ‘King Stefan’ in the film, the male lead opposite Jolie’s (below) ‘Maleficent.’

MALEFICENT tells the backstory of Sleeping Beauty and why the evil fairy Maleficent cursed Princess Aurora in the first place.

Robert Stromberg is set to direct the feature, which already has a release date of March 14, 2014. Joe Roth is producing.

I really do think they are still in London because of Angie's Maleficent. I think they are now doing some fittings of costumes and etc. In regards to Killing Me Softly, I think it will premiere first in Cannes cause the movie will be released in September, I think. I have to check it.
