    ^ hello, please answer the question through a yes or no answer.

    does Islam respect the belief of other people?
    I'm just curious.
    Christians respect it if others have a different religion (I'm no christian btw)
    how about Islam? I'm pretty sure they do, right?
    since its Islam is the "religion of peace"

    thus enforcing the idea of free will, please just answer with
    a yes or no, not with passages I realy have no intent reading.

    Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in God hath grasped the most trustworthy hand- hold, that never breaks. And God heareth and knoweth all things.
    {Noble Quran 2:256}

    If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!
    {Noble Quran 10:99}

    Mankind was one single nation, and God sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. God by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For God guided whom He will to a path that is straight.

    ^ this does not answer my question.

    lets just put it this way..

    you are an ex catholic.
    and now you're a muslim.
    there were no problems/punishments
    whatsoever when you converted to Islam.

    however, what IF a muslim tried to convert to
    another religion, lets say jewish/hindu/catholic, whatever.

    what is the capital punishment of the so called "religion of peace"?

    whats the punishment of apostasy in the Islam(religion of peace)?
    im dying to know really

    hint hint: "im dying to know"

    Meron naba pinoy na muslim na pinatay ng kapwa muslim sa mindanao for apostasy?

    Is the concept of apostasy the same with "murtad", commonly translated as apostates?

    Copy paste ko lang to from an earlier post by WJ:

    You need to take note that Islam is both worldly and spiritual way of life. In as far as the spiritual aspect, then there is no compulsion in it, one is free to choose what he believes to be the correct religion. However, in as far as the worldly or governmental aspect, if one commits a crime of being murtad such as embracing Islam and leaving it later on in order create trouble within the Muslim community, then it is considered as treason, incitement to war, ect; then the offender is given three chances to stop his wrong doing, and repent - if he persist, then the legitimate Islamic government may order for his execution in order to stop the hostility - this is based on the principle of general welfare in which the right on an individual is suppressed in order to maintain peace and order with the community as a whole.

    It should be noted also that only a legitimate government has the right to implement such action and not merely a group or groups of individuals because the case must be brought first to the legitimate Islamic court.

    Ano ba punishment for treason, incitement to war, ect. sa mga countries like US, UK, France?

    --------------

    UK:

    The Treason Act 1351 has since been amended several times, and currently provides for four categories of treasonable offences, namely:

    "when a man doth compass or imagine the death of our lord the King, or of our lady his Queen or of their eldest son and heir";

    "if a man do violate the King’s companion, or the King’s eldest daughter unmarried, or the wife of the King’s eldest son and heir";[22]

    "if a man do levy war against our lord the King in his realm, or be adherent to the King’s enemies in his realm, giving to them aid and comfort in the realm, or elsewhere"; and

    "if a man slea the chancellor, treasurer, or the King’s justices of the one bench or the other, justices in eyre, or justices of assise, and all other justices assigned to hear and determine, being in their places, doing their offices".

    The penalty for treason was changed from death to a maximum of imprisonment for life in 1998 under the Crime And Disorder Act.[24] Before 1998, the death penalty was mandatory, subject to the royal prerogative of mercy.

    Islam = Faith + Evidence....
