Hi. I also got approved for a Unionbank Miles+ Card, which arrived yesterday. I'm actually unsure of the mechanics for redeeming the miles. The booklet that came with the card is not much help.

The card came with discount vouchers worth PhP 500 each for 10 different establishments. I also got coupons for freebies at North Park.

Beware kayo sa Union Bank Credit Card Service nila super bulok at yung mga charges subrang daming hidden nila, example, may credit limit ka na 50k tapos hindi mo npansin at lumagpas ka, mabibili mo yung product pero e charge ka nila ng Overlimit charge at isa pa wala silang wave ng annual fee compare sa BPI at BDO kaya magisip sip kayo 3 years ko na gamit yan wala parin ako makitang improvement ayon pina cut ko na..... Pag-madami kayo money ok lang yan happy sila sa inyo pay lang nang pay .....

Let's be fair here. The overlimit charge is not hidden. It's openly declared in their schedule of fees and charges:

Hindi unique yang overlimit fee. HSBC at Citibank meron din niyan. BPI yata wala, pero kapag sinubukan mong mag-charge nang lagpas sa limit, matitimbog ang transaction mo at hindi itutuloy. Minsan nakakahiya.

And from my experience, my annual fees are reversed BUT I also have a significant sum on deposit with them.

They do waive annual fees if you have no outstanding balance and do the usual drill of threatening to cancel the card. This worked for me last year.

"Optional" may not be the accurate term. A better description is "automatically effective unless cancelled by the member". So if you don't want it, give them a call and have it cancelled. Technically it is a one-month term life insurance with the face amount equal to your balance. In case of the cardholder's death, any unpaid balance will be paid from the life insurance proceeds.

Basta po sakin advice lang I have BPI, CitiBank, BDO, RCBC credit card pero among those 4 cards na nagamit Union Bank ang super!!! Bulok ang service, sabi ko nga sa inyo if you have money to pay, pay lang ng pay ok sa kanila yun , I remember before na may service ako na hinihingi sa kanila pero they don't allow it during holidays or week ends kailangan mo pa maghintay ng week days at office hours pa, ang hirap pa nila contackin.

You're right pero hindi naman ka compare compare yung Union Bank sa CitiBank at BPI, kasi magkahanay sila ng HSBC na bulok ang service try to search the web at marami kang makikita na complain din sa HSBC. ..

Nakakainis yung application ko dito!I applied, sent my requirements and when I was waiting for the "information verification" call, ang inconvenient nung oras tumawag. They're using a cellphone number at para kong namimiss yung call. Then one time my phone rang, same number, isang ring, binaba na agad.
Yun!declined tuloy. Some Visa Secured Card daw yung pwede eh I already have a depositing bank. Ayoko namang lumipat na!! >.<

Para sakin naman ok din ang Unionbank Visa. Actually mas gusto ko siya gamitin kesa ibang credit cards ko. Mas professional pa kausap customer care nila kesa sa ibang banks.

Tip lang. Para hindi ma-overlimit charge, tumawag muna sa CSR nila para mag confirm kung magkano ang available balance. Or kung computed mo naman ang mga transactions mo ay ikaw mismo malalaman mo kung magkano na lang available balance mo.
