i have high hopes for this movie. the bourne franchise is extremely good and jeremy renner is a great fit in my opinion. sana lang walang igno-igno sa movie house na hihirit ng "uy alam ko kung saan yan". oo, alam namin kung saan yan.

Hindi maiiwasan iyan. Maraming ganyan!

i read somewhere that the "drifting jeepney" was really meant to drift. naghanap daw talaga ng magandang kaha ang US at Philippine producers ng The Bourne Legacy among jeepney manufacturers. they ended getting one from Sarao Motors and had it souped-up with... a Chevy Corvette engine!

Agree with you guys! Superb ang trailer. Can't wait for the movie. For sure patok na patok dito sa PILIPINAS.

Pwede din naman. Basta dapat may pasabog sila. Mas maganda sana yung Jeep ang pinasabog. Mas natuwa pa ako. Pero mukhang wala ata eh. Tapos na ang scene dito sa Pinas.

kaya siguro hindi winasak yung jeep ay dahil sa may mag-uuwi nun sa US. look at the jeep, not much damage. parang gasgas lang after sinalpok siya nung Camry.

read the article regarding the hybrid jeep (with a Chevy Corvette engine) on Top Gear, if i remember it right. parang interview kay Tanner Faust. long before that appeared on the Top Gear article, naikwento na sa akin nung isang friend ko na kasa-kasama nung US and Philippine producers ng The Bourne Legacy na naghanap nga talaga sila ng matibay na kaha ng jeep tapos sa Sarao sila nakakuha at kinasahan nila yung kaha ng makina ng Corvette.

How about the jeepneys? What are your impressions of it?

"The jeepney is like the fastest car out there; I've driven a couple of jeepneys now and they've got some power compared to a lot of things on the road. And they get uncomfortable at around 40kph. I've also driven the Corvette-powered jeepney but I didn't get to drift it, though. I really, really wanted to but somebody else did the driving for that. I've been taking a lot of photos of jeepneys, developing somewhat of a chronicle of jeepneys because they're all different, they're all so incredibly unique. I would love to take one home and put in a big powerful V8 and make a drift jeepney. That would be so awesome. Interestingly though, we've been jumping in and out of many people's privately owned cars in this film as stunt drivers. We just knock on the window and they (the car owners) have no problem with you driving their car; that's everybody except the jeepney drivers. It's like they're lending you their wife. They're so unique but they're also unique to that person. It's funny to watch the look on their faces when somebody else is driving their jeepneys."

okay. i stand corrected. Tanner Faust did drive the Corvette engine-powered jeepney but he wasn't the one who drove it during the movie.

darn! i want to have one of those hybrid jeeps!

The last few clips were shot here in the Philippines.

My friends in Cebu are very frustrated that the film's producers did not film the Philippine scenes in their home province.

They feel strongly that Cebu is the best place for location shootings over all other locations in the Philippines and Asia.

What better way to do a car chase scene than in a congested, chaotic, polluted and disorientating city like Manila. But then again, it just looks like Hollywood movies before which were shot in Bangkok (Hangover, Bangkok Dangerous). Lets see how this will be different

Maging masaya na lang kasi nasama pa ang Pilipinas. Siguro kaya kailangan nila ang Manila Scene dahil magulo ang lugar at yun ang hinahanap nila. Okay ang Cebu no doubt pero hindi yata siya naangkop sa iba aspeto ng movie kaya hindi siya nakuha. Just my opinion.

i so hate jeepney drivers na Marikina route, the worst drivers not only speed-wise but also because ginawang mobile boom box ang jeep

tapos lalo pang bibilisan ang takbo ng jeep dahil tangay na tangay sa malakas na music, ny3ta lang. yan ang masarap pasabugin kasi ilang tenga rin ang sumabog kakasakay sa mga yan eh

i think the Marikina/Antipolo bound jeepneys are the extreme Jeepney experience na every balikbayan, foreigner should try. Hahaha. Jeepney ride, Its more fun in the Philippines.

Universal has just moved the release of The Bourne Legacy back one week from August 3 to August 10. The official reason? They’re scared of The Dark Knight Rises. Seriously. Read the statement below.

Here’s the statement from Universal:

Just as THE AVENGERS demonstrated marketplace sustainability that well outpaced traditional patterns earlier this summer, the industry expects a similar trajectory for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. Moving one week further from its release will give THE BOURNE LEGACY an even greater opportunity to maximize its opening box office potential. Moving to August 10 will also allow us to extend valuable promotion for the film across all NBCUniversal platforms during the Olympics, which will dominate television and digital audiences beginning July 27. We are excited about this new chapter in our BOURNE franchise and confident that August 10 is the right date for our film and for our industry as a whole.
