Gaya sa nasusulat; "Repent and be baptized in the nme of Jesus Christ" (Acts 2:38).

Titus 2:13 KJV 1611
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Sauiour Iesus Christ,

Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God (NO COMMA)and our Saviour Jesus Christ;"

Ngayon, kung sasabihin mong ang Ama ang muling magpapakita, kailan ba Siya unang nagpakita ayon sa nakasulat na "and the glorious appearing of the great God?"

John 2:19 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

John 2:21 "But he spake of the temple of his body."

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Matthew 22:21 "Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's (PHYSICAL THINGS); and unto God the things that are God's (SPIRITUAL THINGS)."

1Corinthians 2:13 "Which things (spiritual things) also we speak (teach), not in the words (LITERAL WORDS) which man's (natural man's) wisdom teacheth (physical wisdom), but which the Holy Ghost teacheth (Jesus Christ); comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Leviticus 27:30 "And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD."

Sa Panginoon ang lahat na IKASANGPUNG BAHAGI. PERIOD.

Acts 16:30 "And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Romans 10:17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. "

Just reading the written words in the bible is not enough to understand the meaning of it for God
Espirituwal ang wika ni Jesus. Nakauunawa ka ba ng espirituwal na wika?

sends messenger in order for men to be a true believer and accept the true faith.

Romans 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."

[i]Religion in Greece

97% of the Greek population celebrate the Orthodox religion whilst Muslim, Roman Catholic and Jewish make up most of the remaining religions.

Greece and Russia are the only countries to adopt the Orthodox religion, which forms the largest branch of Christianity outside of the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Church.

1Peter 4:15 "But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters."

1. in his (the Son of Man, Jesus Christ) glory

The Son of Man is not the Father and not the holy angels.
The father is not the Son of Man and not the holy angles.
The holy angels are not the Son of Man and not the Father.

Therefore Luke 9:26 is in accordance with Titus 2:13. Jesus Christ is not the Father (God).

Closing church ‘like losing your family’

Published: Friday, June 08, 2012, 3:43 PM Updated: Friday, June 08, 2012, 3:45 PM
By MARY KLAUS, The Patriot-News

For 102 years, midstaters of Macedonian-Bulgarian heritage marked the passages of their life in the Holy Annunciation Macedonian-Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Steelton.

They were baptized there, attended weekly services there, were married there and buried their family there. For many, it was the only church they ever knew.

Holy Annunciation, which for years has been facing declining membership and income, recently closed.

MARY KLAUS, The Patriot-News
Holy Annunciation Macedonian-Bulgarian Orthodox Church in Steelton recently closed after 102 years. From left are Ann Marie Slovesko; her husband, the Very Rev. Michael Slovesko, pastor of the church; and Cathy Fagan, congregation president.

“This was the second-oldest Macedonian-Bulgarian Orthodox church in the country,” said Cathy Fagan, congregation president.

“I grew up in this church. I was married here. I buried my whole family from here. My daughter and granddaughter were baptized in that baptismal font. This is so hard. It’s tearing me apart.]/b]”

Holy Annunciation was founded by and for people who came to Steelton from Macedonia, a former Yugoslav republic, and Bulgaria in southeast Europe. Most were immigrants who left their native land to seek their fortune in the New World.

Many came to Steelton without jobs and unable to speak English. They went to work in the then-Bethlehem Steel plant. By 1909, they decided they needed a church.

The immigrants donated money for the project, got land, and, after working hard in the steel mill or factories all day, spent their evenings excavating and building. Soon, they had a church.

In 1927, parishioners built the church community hall, which they enlarged and remodeled in the 1970s.

Tropical Storm Agnes flooded the church basement in 1972. Three years later, a suspicious fire extensively damaged the church sanctuary while smoke damaged the icons. After learning that it would cost more to fix the church than to build a new one, parishioners decided to build anew.

Holy Annunciation had unique traditions from its earliest days when its services were held in Macedonian.

Every January, from 1912 to 1939, the church sponsored a “diving for the cross” ceremony in which a priest would hurl a handmade wooden cross into the frigid Susquehanna River.
Men in their late teens and early 20s would dive in to retrieve the cross. Participants were treated like heroes by Steelton residents, who gave them a special dinner.

The ceremony ended after 1939, when Steelton’s young men went off to World War II and there was no one left to carry on the tradition.

Up until it closed, the congregation held a special Orthodox Easter vigil that included songs, Scripture and scarlet-tinted eggs after a pre-midnight candlelight procession around the church.

Altar boys and church leaders led the procession, marching with censors, crosses, round pictures of angels in gold sunbursts and icons. At midnight, the priest called out “Christ is risen,” then the church bells began ringing. The priest would knock on the door lightly with a cross, and it opened from within for the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.

In its heyday, Holy Annunciation had 200 members.

At the end, it had nine who faithfully attended services. Ironically, 125 came to the final service, which felt like part family reunion and part funeral.

The displaced members will attend other area Orthodox churches, including St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Oberlin.

“It’s like losing your family,” the Very Rev. Archpriest Michael Slovesko of Ephrata, church pastor, said of the closing. “I’ve been a priest for 54 years, and this is the first time I’ve closed a church. I couldn’t build it up.”

Slovesko, who had retired seven years ago, plans to go back into retirement.
The Holy Annunciation baptismal font went to an Orthodox cathedral in New York City. The altar relics went to the Bulgarian Orthodox Diocese of the USA, Canada and Australia.
The altar and icons went to a new Orthodox monastery in Warwick, Mass. Fagan said that some Holy Annunciation members plan to make a pilgrimage to the monastery to see their icons.

The Holy Annunciation complex, which includes a 3,600-square-foot, two-story assembly hall and a 2,780-square-foot, single-story church building, is on the market for $255,000. Money from its sale will be given to charity.

“The Orthodox people are of one faith,” Slovesko said, watching the dismantling of the church he grew to love. “Just the language and culture is different.”

Protestants in Germany hand over their church to Islamic use
Mönchengladbach: Muslime übernehmen Kirche in Gladbach

A Christian church has been converted into a Muslim assembly hall. In Moenchengladbach-Rheydt the Alevi community gathers in the former Holy Cross Church of the Evangelical Methodist Church. Three years ago, the Methodists celebrated their last church service in the church and sold it in 2010 to the Alevis. The renovation of the building took one and a half years.

This was an unprecedented event in Germany, writes the newspaper "Welt am Sonntag". So far, an interdenominational consensus had prevailed, not to allow the conversion of abandoned churches to Islamic worship.

The Evangelical Church in Rhineland rejects this as before. The Methodists are an independent Protestant Free Church, which claims in Germany some 55 000 members. Worldwide there are approximately 70 million Methodists, mostly in the US. A spokesman for the Rhenish Church said: "We do not question a transfer to non-Christian religious groups. Exceptions are Jewish communities."

Unlike Sunni or Shiite Muslims, Alevis do not pray in mosques, but in so-called Cem houses. You do not fast during Ramadan, but at another time. The Koran plays in comparison only a minor role. Alevis do not feel bound by the Islamic Sharia legal system.

... Saan kaya maglalaban o idadaos ang importanteng laban? (baka ma-Bradley n naman sa US, o ma-Jessica Sanchez), sa Araneta Coliseum, SM Mall of Asia, o sa Philippine Arena?

Iglesia Ni Cristo has Thousands of convicted criminal members
• 2,000 Criminal Iglesia Ni Cristo members sued Ernesto Diokno

• Some Iglesia Ni Cristo Members are murderers and hurts other people

If indeed ONLY Iglesia Ni Cristo members will be saved according to their doctrine, I wonder how can they explain the salvation of around 2,000 criminal INC members (it may include rapists, murderers and robbers) in one prison jail location alone.

• Criminal then joined the Iglesia Ni Cristo
- this I think is quite understandable because of probably loneliness or seeking for companionship or spiritual enlightenment some prisoners mistakenly join Iglesia Ni Cristo, but...

• Iglesia Ni Cristo members becoming Criminals
- is totally a different story. Iglesia Ni Cristo members going to jail is not a big surprise. We have read it in different newspapers INC members doing different wickedness. It was even reported that an INC member murdered the whole family of an INC minister inside an Iglesia Ni Cristo compound in Cavite. Another report was written about INC vigilantes roasting men after their murderous act. INC members also butchered some University students inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo chapel in Punta Sta. Ana Manila.

In case you're wondering why is there a continued decrease of INC members attending in a nearby Iglesia Ni Cristo chapel in your area, here the possible answers:
- INC members have stopped attending Iglesia Ni Cristo worship services
- INC members left the Iglesia Ni Cristo and converted to Catholic, Protestants or Muslim
- INC members were imprisoned in a nearby municipality jail because of criminal acts.

• 2,000 INC members in one prison jail location alone is quite big for me. Considering that Iglesia Ni Cristo is claiming that ONLY INC MEMBERS WILL BE SAVED. If that so, how come INC has thousands of criminal members?

• Instead of building or buying chapels to be used for Iglesia Ni Cristo worship services, how about the INC administration would build their own prison cells for their growing numbers of criminal Iglesia Ni Cristo members?

• I guess that total the number of INC criminal members is greater than the total number of non-Filipino INC members worldwide

• I highly doubt that only mostly Filipinos will be exclusively allowed to enter heaven

• INC members are only around 2 million members (including thousands of convicted INC criminal members)

It is quite embarrassing to be a member of Iglesia Ni Cristo in these different kinds of atrocities inside the INC.

Inquirer: Prison privileges

2,000 Criminal Iglesia Ni Cristo members sued Ernesto Diokno

• There are 32,000 inmates in NBP in Muntinlupa: 2,000 of them are INC members. This means that 16% of convicted criminals in Bilibid prison are Iglesia Ni Cristo members.

• There are 1,000 jails across the Philippines, more than 60,000 inmates. We can only guess how many Iglesia Ni Cristo criminal members are inside and outside the prison jail.

• The Manalo family and the whole Iglesia Ni Cristo cult group must have been proud with the THOUSANDS of INC convicted criminal members

Behind the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s King Maker Role: A Chain of Crimes and Mythical Numbers
Leave a comment
Manila, Philippines – Unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s long, heated rivalry in the 2008 US presidential campaign, there are politicians in other countries who choose to take the short cut to political power by wooing the kingmaker. Instead of patiently reaching out to the electorate, these politicians seek the person or group of people who has the capacity to influence the conclusion of a political run, a method that assures the former’s promise of the future in exchange for the latter’s favor.

On a different perspective, however, a kingmaker isn’t a kingmaker for nothing. Take for example Kakuei Tanaka, the most prominent political kingmaker in Japan. He served as Japan’s Prime Minister during 1972-74. But even after his term, he remained dominant and influential. Even though he got involved in political scandals, he was able to choke the Prime Minister at will without holding a position in the cabinet.

Monetary, arms, and politics are common players in a kingmaker scenario. More often than not, these factors entail negative effects to the government. In the Philippines, however, there is another player: religion. And the effect of this kingmaker, as far as records are concerned, is unexpectedly catastrophic. It is a chain of crimes and power – behind mythical numbers yet.

Detailed here by prominent newspapers, the Supreme Court and a television station are random reports of the criminal and related activities of one such religious group, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or Church of Christ, considered to be the kingmaker in the Philippine political arena. It spans contemporary times but leads back to 1954 where the founder, Felix Manalo, is featured as a rapist. Finally, it ends with Eraño Manalo’s own words about the nature of their mythical membership. Eraño, now in his early 80s, is the son of Felix Manalo.

Murder Cases

On February 28, 1989, an angered Iglesia Ni Cristo minister shot two men with a .38 caliber pistol in Baranggay Lamot II, Calauang, Laguna, as reported by Jun Tiosen in newspaper, “Abante.” Calauang Police Station Commander Lt. Romulo Endaya identified the minister as Joseph Dadoy of Ma. Victoria Poultry Farm of that town. The victims Ronaldo Arogancia, 22, and Ricardo Ortiz, 32, both reside in Baranggay Lamot I were drunk during the incident. According to the investigation of Pfc. Milencio Nuñez, Dadoy was having a meeting with his fellow INC members when the victims came around 6:45 p.m. and mocked their religion. Dadoy, after some exchange of words with the two drunk men, was infuriated and shot the victims. Arogancia died while being treated in Laguna Provincial Hospital due to a gunshot at the chest, while Ortiz was shot once at each thigh and was treated in San Pablo Doctor Hospital. The INC minister was arrested and imprisoned in Calauang Municipal Jail.

- INC members left the Iglesia Ni Cristo and converted to Catholic, Protestants or Muslim
- INC members were imprisoned in a nearby municipality jail because of criminal acts.
The Church and its growth

“Today, religious sects are flourishing in the Philippines. Some of these have been brought in by missionaries, but others are indigenous having sprouted and grown in the Philippine soil without being introduced or supported from other countries. One of the best known of the latter type is the Iglesia ni Cristo, which came into being in 1914 through the preaching of Felix Manalo. Its more or less distinctive chapels have become familiar landmarks in many cities and towns of the Philippines. Its membership appears to be increasing yearly; and it exercise a measure of influences in the political life of the nation.”

Albert J. Sanders,
A protestant view of the Iglesia ni Cristo 1962 p. 3

“Independent churches have sprung into vigorous life in many, if not all, countries in the Third world. One of the largest, wealthiest, and more powerful of these is the rapidly growing Iglesia ni Cristo in the Philippines.

IGLESIA NI CRISTO: A study in Independent Church Dynamics 1976 p. vii

Ana Manila.

• 2,000 INC members in one prison jail location alone is quite big for me. Considering that Iglesia Ni Cristo is claiming that ONLY INC MEMBERS WILL BE SAVED. If that so, how come INC has thousands of criminal members?

Nilait at hinamak!

“No one however would doubt that the Iglesia ni Cristo is a dynamic religious body which has shown intense vitality, endowed, as it is, with a sturdy organization that many other religious groups in the country patently lack.”

Bayang magiliw
Perlas ng silanganan
Alab ng puso
Sa dibdib mo’y buhay

Lupang Hinirang

May mang-aapi
Ang mamatay ng dahil sayo

Lessons from the Corona impeachment drama.
In Philippine Politics, Politics on May 31, 2012 by The Nutbox

Achieving political maturity depends on how the Philippines would apply lessons from the impeachment trial.

It’s all over. President Benigno S. Aquino III has won the Palace-Faura War.

Following Chief Justice Renato Corona’s overwhelming conviction by twenty out of twenty-three senators in his impeachment trial, and amid talks of a move by Corona’s camp to appeal the verdict to the Supreme Court, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile made the sternest warning yet: “I will say this very frankly and I hope they understand. If they will question the jurisdiction of the impeachment court and reverse our decision, we will defy them. If they want a constitutional crisis in this country, they will have one.”

In the Supreme Court, meanwhile, the ousted Chief Justice’s declared nemesis, senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, immediately took over as acting magistrate. Supported by the majority of the high court’s justices, Justice Carpio’s first act was a political statement: An order to all members of the country’s secretive Judiciary to release their heretofore unavailable Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN). To me, that was a signal that the Supreme Court is distancing itself from its disgraced former chief, as well as an attempt to protect the Judiciary’s integrity that suffered a serious blow from the ousted Chief Justice’s infractions.

Ousted Chief Justice Corona has not been above plunging the country into a constitutional crisis to keep his post, but this time around he has no other choice. It’s a checkmate. The battle has been lost.

For President Aquino, it’s been a victory of sorts. He’s spared of the prospect of spending the remainder of his term as a lame duck, and he has succeeded in removing a major booby-trap designed by the unlamented Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to weaken his presidency (See Manuel L. Quezon III’s “A Diminished Presidency“). But I wouldn’t call it a total victory for Malacanang.

I have long maintained that the impeachment project was merely a dangerous bluff intended to push Corona into resigning. Corona called the bluff, resulting in a long, protracted battle that gave the President’s enemies an ammunition to attack his moral standing. The President was accused of trying to co-opt the Judicary’s independence and consolidate power, and only to save his Coujangco clan from bankruptcy. Meanwhile, the Prosecution’s case was so weak it had to be saved by the Defense’s extra-ordinary bungles.

The powerful Iglesia ni Cristo may have gained leverage over the President.

It’s tempting to say that the President had to rely on luck in winning this battle, but that would be dismissive of the behind-the-scenes horsetrading that the President’s political operators had to undertake to win over several senators. In the midst of an unpredictable Fortuna, the President employed a bit of Virtu as well.

But that’s the point: The President had to spend too much political capital to gain the needed votes to convict Corona, and you just have to wonder if the President has enough of his capital left to implement reforms that may not be to the liking of several members of Congress.

Perhaps it’s the powerful Iglesia ni Cristo, not Malacanang, that scored a real victory from this impeachment project. Previously ignored by the Aquino administration, the influential religious group flexed some muscles to support the impeached Chief Justice. As a result, Malacanang had to take the Iglesia seriously.

To me, the Iglesia had not really intended to support Corona per se, but merely to use him in order to gain some leverage over the President. It has succeeded.

But, in a sense, the Philippines as a whole may have scored a victory, too.

The impeachment drama tested the Philippines’ democratic institutions. It exposed the extent of the powers of the Judiciary, just as Arroyo’s illegitimate term exposed the extent of the powers of the Executive. It opened a debate on the nature of impeachments as a tool to check the Padre Faura gods, and of the extent of the Supreme Court’s constitutional duty of exercising judicial review. It made the country aware of the awesome powers of the Ombudsman, which, if used properly, can effectively and significantly minimize corruption in government. Finally, it made the country aware of the glaring loopholes in its laws concerning transparency and accountability of public servants.

The fact that the impeachment process had reached its conclusion is in itself a milestone in the evolution of Philippine democracy. But whether or not this evolution would lead to political maturity would depend a lot on how the Philippines would apply the lessons it has learned from this impeachment process.

Trumpet! Trumpet! Trumpet! Trumpet! Trumpet!
The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

May Dios o wala?

Ngunit binigyan tayong pumili: Sa Mabuti o Sa Masama.

The Day Pinatubo Turned Day Into Night
Manila Bulletin – 15 hours ago

MANILA, Philippines --- "I thought it was the end of the world. All day long, it was dark like night."

This was how a child remembered the day in 1991 when Mount Pinatubo in Zambales belched ash and molten rock in one of the most cataclysmic volcanic eruptions of the 20th century.

Rona Katrina Suelan was four weeks short of her fourth birthday. At the time, she was living with her aunts in Zambales since her parents were working as OFWs in the Middle East.

Rona remembered being "awakened by the rushing sound of my three teenage aunts, who were sisters of my mother." The teenagers were staying in her maternal grandparents' house, which was a stone's throw away from their home.

She recalled that her aunt opening and closing the windows, nervously taking a peek at what was happening outside.

The youngsters stayed inside the house since Rona's grandfather was stranded at work. Her grandmother, on the other hand, was stranded in another house that served as their summer villa in Maloma, a small village on the Zambales side of Pinatubo.

For the next few days, Rona's group survived by eating the canned goods her parents brought home as gifts every time they returned to the country.

The house was a bungalow, and when their relatives came to check on them, they found an almost two-foot-high pile of ash covering the roof.

Rona's most vivid memory of those days was when a small bird strayed into their house, perhaps to escape the ash fall. Other animals like dogs also took shelter in the house.
The eruption also had a major impact on Rona's life. Whenever there are earthquakes, the scenes from her childhood flashed in her mind.

Straddling the provinces of Zambales, Tarlac and Pampanga, Pinatubo is considered as one of the biggest active volcanoes in the country.

Scientific studies indicate that the volcano had been asleep for 500 years ago before it awakened in March 1991.The mountain began to emit hot gases and ashes. Several small eruptions followed in the next few weeks.

On June 3 the volcano had its first major eruption, and another large explosion followed four days later. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised the alert level to 5, triggering the evacuation of around 60,000 people living near Pinatubo.

On June 15, seismographs monitoring the mountain went wild as Pinatubo spewed ashes 34 kilometers into the sky.

Pyroclastic flows began pouring from the summit reaching as far as 16 kilometers away.
Typhoon "Yunya" slammed into the country on the same day, and rains mixed with ash deposits to produce lahar. The giant ash cloud covered an area of 125,000 square kms, bringing total darkness to much of Central Luzon.

Close to 850 people died in the eruption, a relatively small number. But the eruption also left more than a million homeless.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Coordinating Council, the most affected areas were 96 towns in Zambales, 178 towns in Pampanga and 88 villages in Tarlac.

Lahar also clogged up at least eight major river systems in Central Luzon.

In Metro Manila, volcanic dust forced authorities to suspend classes for several days.

Ninoy Aquino International Airport was temporarily closed for four days.

The eruption had environmental consequences as well. Pinatubo released 15 to 30 million tons of sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere, which triggered ozone depletion. Ash clouds reduced global temperatures by 0.5 to 0.6 degree Celsius.

The US also abandoned Clark Air Base after it suffered massive damage from the eruption.

There was at least 42 plans to assassinate Hitler. Yet he was able to take his own life. The great superpowers wasn't able to get him. He was a Christian or maybe just a Deist. Germany lost the war but they are still a mighty country even during this time of global crisis. And it is a Secular/Christian country. Denmark is the least corrupt and has the happiest people in the world. A very secular country. Canada and Australia, secular/christian countries. Have the best cities to live in. Japan, has one of the highest life expectancies.

Philippines: corruption, poverty, mapaminsalang mga bagyo (sa dami, kaya ko bang i-enumerate?), malalakas na lindol, difficulty of protecting it's territory. kng tingin mo walang napapahamak na INC, tawa na laang kami ha?

Where did I mention Greece, Portugal, or the US? BTW I'm an Agnostic Atheist not a Christian or whatever religious trash. Just giving examples and perspective. Every country will have ups and downs. If you need more examples to prove that religion is not the basis of "salvation" or "damnation", here in the Philippine Top performing schools (not in the world though, because you know, we're so blessed because of INC): UP ("Communist Atheists"), La Salle, ADMU, UST (Catholic schools) Many other top performing schools are Catholic schools. Since you mentioned Greece alot, Alexander the Great, a Greek... or Macedonian, or both?lol a Polytheist, never lost a battle, considered one if not the greatest general in history. Maybe Greece just needs to pray to Zeus, no?lol Tell me if you need more examples okay?
