Almost grabbing 3 points at St. James Park. I thought Spurs would win the whole thing up. This week was like the match of last second goals for the Gunners and the Magpies.

The magpies are no mugs this season. Real solid team now, and IMO will finish in a Europa cup spot in the league table. They've bought intelligently with really promising kids and solid and proven players, and they've shed out huge contracts (bloated ones that f*cked their wage structure) too in the process. They're on a good path and I hope it continues.

And Ben Arfa isn't playing to his potential yet. @_@ Crazy...

I really just can't understand why we are so passive and crap after leading 2-1! The same crap I saw last week against Newcastle... What's the deal? It's no secret that the defence is our achille's heel, but we still pass the ball back to Kaboul and Walker like a mad man. Through passes are off and the attacking intent is missing.

All in all, I'd say we are lucky again to have a win with this one. If it wasn't again for the technical finesse of vdV, boy I'd be pissed tonight.

Let's get a more "decisive" win against QPR! COYS!!!

Spurs "agree deal" for Amauri. Hmmm.. Not bad if you ask me - if this deal was done 2 years ago.

Given not only our team form but also our players', we should easily "dismantle" the next four clubs in our fixtures on paper - West Brom, Bolton, Sunderland, and Stoke. If this was a year or two years back, I couldn't have said this. But it seems that all the lads are showing the confidence, the winning mentality, and the superiority over any opponents - and that mentality I believe is key. You can't go strolling every game thinking that "We should win this." A CL team should always go out at the park thinking "Anything less than a win will put a dent to our CL hopes."

There is something special with this Spurs squad. Their attacking intent is immense and that cause was certainly helped by the relentless Scotty Parker. He's given us so much possession that I am losing less hair night in and night out - much to the delight of the improving back four and the fans, of course.

Okay, I know this is too bias, but I am enjoying Spurs football right now. As HR has said it, sky's the limit. Just:
    1) No injuries. (PLEASE LEDLEY.)
    2) No complacency.
    3) Know your tactics (especially knowing when to sub in the likes of Defoe and Sandro)

    Lastly... Come On You Spurs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Spurs are the real losers last night, not Bayern Munchen. I really feel sorry for my English Spurs die-hard fan last night (or this morning) who was devastated 2 seats from me.

I won't be surprised if Spurs would appeal this to UEFA. But I know they won't reconsider it. However, I honestly admit that the rule is not fair, and Tottenham deserves to play in the Champions League (or whoever gets that 4th spot).

I hope UEFA would revert back to the old ruling when Liverpool was allowed to play as defending champions despite finishing 5th.

    Indeed!

Andre Villas-Boas named new Tottenham Hotspur manager.

CLUB APPOINTS ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS AS NEW HEAD COACH

The Club is delighted to announce that Andre Villas-Boas has joined as our new Head Coach on a 3 year contract.

Andre was previously at Porto and led them to an undefeated season in the league, winning four trophies and becoming the youngest manager ever to win a European title in the process, before joining Chelsea and extending his run to 39 games undefeated.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman, Daniel Levy said: “I am delighted that Andre has agreed to become our new Head Coach. He has an outstanding reputation for his technical knowledge of the game and for creating well-organised teams capable of playing football in an attractive and attacking style. Andre shares our long-term ambitions and ethos of developing players and nurturing young talent, and he will be able to do so now at a new world class Training Centre.”

Speaking as the new Head Coach, Andre Villas-Boas said, “Tottenham Hotspur is a great club with a strong tradition and fantastic support, both at home and throughout the world. I feel privileged to be its coach. For me, this is one of the most exciting coaching positions in the Premier League. I have had several discussions with the Chairman and the Board and I share their vision for the future progress of the Club. This is a squad any coach would love to work with and together I believe we can bring success in the seasons ahead."

Andre brings with him two members of his coaching staff - First Team fitness coach Jose Mario Rocha and Daniel Sousa, head of opposition scouting.

Daniel Levy continued: "We are constantly looking to move the Club forward. It is important that we now look to develop the potential within the squads at all levels, whilst strengthening the First Team in the summer in key positions with players who will become part of the future success of the Club.”

    Vertonghen deal almost done.

He must've heard some great stories from his Belgian bros in the PL(Vinnie, Verm, The 'fro, Dembele, Boyata). Hope he gets a decent debut in England. Can't wait to see how he will fare against the likes of Aguero, Rooney, and #torres, lol.

And Adebayor for £5Million?! Holy guacamole. This might be the year that Spurs would finally be on top of Arsenal in the table after a long while.

It's been a while since I last visited here. And now that I'm back, dare I say that I'm not enjoying what I'm seeing right now. While we do look less panicky at the back with AVB at the helm, I'm not enjoying the games as much as I did last season (so far)! The exhilaration of counter-attack and the unpredictability of each play makes the team worth watching the full 90 minutes. But now, it's just passing around and mostly sideways and at the back - it's really ridiculous!

The last game I watched, against QPR, they've (Rangers) had more attacking chances and are more likely to win! It's really frustrating to watch - this isn't the Spurs I've come to know recently! But then again - who am I kidding? A lot of new faces around and it will take some time gel them together - hopefully for the better. Case in point - City have had a premature Championship trophy. I honestly didn't imagine they'd be that good at a short amount of time.

IMO, Dembele will have to at his very best each and every game. Period. No buts. No Dembele = no creativity = no attacking options. While I can cry at the corner at the loss of van der Vaart (who is my all-time favorite player btw since his Hamburg days) as well as Modric, there is no point looking back now. I'm looking at Bale, Lennon, and Dembele to create the chances and hopefully, we bag in the goals in a much more fluid manner.

While I am not an AVB-hater, I'm afraid I might have to if the results do not come. We have had a supposedly favorable matchups at the start of the season, but we choked right at the death (Norwich, West Brom). I'm used to seeing that all the time really, but what's different this time around is because we scored only 1 goal each... at home... against WBA and Norwich.

Am I asking too much? Probably. But wth, this is the Premier League! If you don't ask this much, fans turn against you really fast, players look for greener pastures, and managers face the axe! So let's get this win against Carlisle tonight and sort yourselves lads!

    COYS!!!
