Granger irks Bulls

CHICAGO – Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger apparently touched a nerve when he said the Boston Celtics were a more dangerous playoff team than the Bulls.

“He’ll see us very soon,” Bulls forward Carlos Boozer said.

Granger cited the Celtics’ experience and depth to support his argument.

“Boston’s a different monster,” Granger told Pacers reporters last week. “They don’t have the best record in the East, but they won championships. They know how to do it. They have four, five guys you have to worry about. …

“Chicago, they go as Derrick Rose goes. If you make a concerted effort to stop Derrick Rose, you have a better chance of beating them.”

Bulls forward Luol Deng said Granger had a right to his opinion.

“He’s got to back it up now,” Deng said. “I don’t think they’re going to shut down Derrick, but I guess that’s their game plan. We’ve been a team all year. We’re looking forward to it.”
