AWOL Question. Please do reply.

Nag-AWOL ako before (I was an incoming 3rd year student back then) and that was because of my impulsive and immature decisions. I've decided to work in a call center "just for the heck of it", got accepted, then left after 2 months.

Now that I've already graduated, I re-applied to the same call center, but in a different site na, just to make up for what I did before and para mawala na ang guilt. I did not declare anything about my previous work experience, for fear na baka singilin pa din ako ng training bond.

I don't know if what I am doing now is right. Medyo kinakabahan nga ako kasi same company. Mafa-fire ako for sure pag nalaman. So far, wala pa naman ako narereceive na word from them.

What should I do?

lakas naman ng loob mong mag apply ulit sa company kung san ka nag AWOL. Im sure they will know about this sooner or later... mas maganda kung unahan mo na sila malay mo naman if valid naman yung reason mo eh ok lang at they will let you proceed...

The reason why I've gone AWOL during my first employment was because I had to go back to school.

Actually, di pa ako nagsastart uli ng training sa kanila since I was scheduled on the 9th of May pa, but I signed their contract na. Pwede pa kaya akong umatras?

I suggest if you still have the contact # of the person who hired you, talk to him and explain your situation. If he would still let you proceed with the employment then good for you. If not, since you have already earned your degree, try other companies. Pinapahirapan mo lang sarili mo. Forget your past mistakes and have a fresh start.

pag umatras ka TS twice AWOL mo na. Once is enough, two is too much. haha. Wait for it na lang kung mahuhuli ka. then tell us what happened. haha madami pa naman company jan. bat kasi nag apply ka ulit dun. I tried this once, I passed the process sa Job fair, wala lang ako magawa while waiting sa friend ko na job hunter din, ang ngyari JO nako dapat, eh employed naman ako so hindi ko na pinuntahan.

just got home from the office. terminated ako. it feels bad. really bad. hindi ako naka notify ng maayos. I was tag AWOL first and then terminated. i tried to talk to them kung pwede mag resigned pero tapos na daw.. i so regret what i did.. wala na.. pangit na record. lesson learned.haay. sana hindi ako ma pa alis sa new employer ko ngayon.next week na start ng training. na sign na ako ng contract pero sabi ko dun nag resigned ako which akala ko talaga kase nag bigay ako ng resignation letter. hindi pala tinggap.
i feel bad.. haay..so disappointed with myself. i did good when i was still there..
sana if they find out sooner or later na terminated ako they wont get me fired. i can provide my coe and clearance though..actually im working on it now..

my former wavemates suggested that i keep quiet at hanggang sa mahuli na lang daw ako (wag naman sana). iexplain ko na lang daw yung nangyari noon and see what would happen from there.

ewan ko ba kung bat ako bumalik dito. hahaha!

kung hired ka na (naka-sign ng contract at meron nang training schedule), binding na yun. Good job at di ka nahuli. ibig sabihin, hindi centralized ang recruitment database nila (na hindi ko lubos maisip kung bakit unless hindi sila ganun kalaki). Tama yung suggestion na sabihin mo na rin sa recruiter mo. Come clean kasi hindi ka na rin nila mapu-push-back.

Kung aplikante ka pa lang, gano katagal ka na nilang hindi tinatawagan? Baka nalaman na rin nila at nireject na yung application mo, at hindi ka lang ni-notify. Baka rin tatawagan ka palang ulit. In this case, still, come clean. Explain mo lang yung sinabi mo sa taas, na gusto mo lang bumawi, blah blah. Isama mo na rin yung 'this company taught me a lot of things, and I feel like I owe it to you to make up for my mistake.' Sana mabait yung recruiter. Go!

Edit: ay. hired ka na pala. di ako nagbasa nung iba. Ayun. FYI nalang sa iba.

^ hmmm. double-edged yan. if you don't come clean agad at nalaman in the future at hindi mo naayos ng explain kung bakit ka nag-awol at hindi mo rin sinabi agad, baka gawing point against you kapag nag-apply ka for promotion, etc. Baka lang. Okay lang naman na sabihin mo na kasi hired ka na nga. Wala na silang magagawa, hindi ka na nila pwede iterminate dahil dun. Depende sa tantiya mo. Gora.

Well, kaya lang naman ako bumalik kasi for clearance. Para lang matapos ko yung months na covered ng bond. Medyo naguguluhan na nga po ako kung sasabihin ko or not. Di ko alam kung sino iaapproach, and natatakot din ako baka posibleng ihold ako and iterminate. Pag di ko naman sinabi, termination din ang bagsak ko. Hay. Si Lord na ang bahala.

Plan ko ng mag resugn sa company ko. Pero they are asking me to render 30 days. Pero *** start sa bagong company ko is less than that na. I talked to the HR kng pde paikliin *** pag render ko depende naman daw sa supervisor ko. *** supervisor ko naman ayaw pumayag. Tapos pag nag absconding daw ako, d nya daw pipirmahan *** clearance ko. Meron pa bang ibang way para maka hiwalay sa company?

Hi! Tanggal po ako sa inapplyan ko. Hehe. Ang sabi kasi sa akin start na ako ng May 9, di ba? But when I called in to ask for the training schedule on May 9, they told me that di na ako pwede magcontinue dahil nalaman nila na I was formerly employed by them at di ko daw dineclare.

I'm planning to apply to other call center companies but natatakot na ako if idedeclare ko ba or not yung experience ko dito since for sure, hihingan ako ng clearance, which I would not get din naman.

sa situation mo, mali man magsinungaling, mabuti nang wag mo i-declare yan sa next company na papasukan mo. kase magiging problema mo pa yung clearance. Apply nlang as a CC newbie, para may chance ka lumusot kesa forever maipit dahil sa clearance.

My gf did that before, 1 yr s'ya with her previous CC, kaso she went AWOL after throwing a stapler at her a**ho*e CSM (hehehe.. she missed by just an inch, sabay walkout). When she moved to my CC, we decided to declare her as a newbie (which is ok lang coz mataas pa din basic for newbie dito compare to her previous province-based cc). All went smoothly naman kase nga since newbie ang declaration, they focused on her comm and technical skills.
