read moredon't f*cking toy with my team!Seriously though, The Maloofs aren't selling, they've regretted selling the Rockets and it's clear as daylight they won't repeat that again. They aren't in a selling position (MVP can't afford it even if he's a big fish here, plus he'll have lots of stuff to get through the NBA board -- which means lots of concrete stuff leaked out) and if there is some hint of truth in this, the likes of Napear, Ziller, Amick and J. Ham - who has inside scoop - will put a story on this ASAP. This is a non-story, nothing more than a sh*t rumor.
Kwame Brown will eat him alive.mas excited si japeth aguilar. matutupad na ang nba dream nya!!!
Greg Slaughter = Shawn Bradley 2.0Greg Slaughter and Kiefer Ravena are excited LOL
Kiefer Ravena ? He's too small and too soft to play with big boys
Japeth Aguilar - No. 1 pick on next year's draft
MVP will hire Quinito Henson together with Chino Trinidad as the King's official commentator
They're not selling, they're (trying) relocating. Big difference. The lack of ticket sales is because of several factors: the whole California is in total chaos (recession), also Vegas too (The Palms' is also in financial meltdown) that's why the Maloofs aren't investing much on the Kings (hence the losing), but they have given up some of their properties JUST to keep the Kings. They have sold their distributorship business to keep the Kings, no way will they - in their own words - repeat the same Houston Rockets mistake.
The relocating option is a knee-jerkish one. I've posted on the Kings thread an article stating 29 reasons why it is such - all of which are spot on. The only problem in the Sacramento area is an Arena. Like the bros have said, they'll sign a lease for 30 years if a new arena is present. Check out the current Arco, it's butt ugly and ancient. A new Arena = No movers. Another key note is the brothers owe the city of Sacramento (IIRC) 70-90 Million dollars, so they can't just sell or bolt off.
Both parties (the city and the club) are at fault if the current situation turns ugly (relocation). Both have faults, but the fans will have to suffer (more so the stubborn city - they'll feel the hit when the team leaves, f'ing idiots).
makakalaro na si Manny "Sakrameynto Kengs es my really peyborit team... i wanna play there.." pacquiao! sa NBA Idol!!
ito na naman si quinito.........
If the Filipino ownership pushes through, perhaps the franchise can bring in the first and only Filipino-American to play in the NBA - Raymond Townsend who suited up for the Warriors and the Indiana Pacers - to join the front office even in an honorary capacity. Then, the team can hire Fil-Am coach Erik Spoelstra from Miami and enlist the first pure-blooded Filipino ever to play in the NBA - maybe, Jimmy Alapag or James Yap or L. A. Tenorio.
We can dream, can’t we?

I didn't realize this thread would be hilarious until I started reading the posts![]()
Wow Quinito, wow. You earn money from that crap? Jesus, it's as if things were that simple (assuming what we have here is true). You muppet.![]()
at least itong kay bill velasco medyo realistic....
Challenges of buying an NBA franchise
THE GAME OF MY LIFE By Bill Velasco (The Philippine Star)
we all know sa ating economy and history that monopoly aint good, buti na lang medyo matino pa siya compare sa ibang tycoons, saka sino magmamana ng kayamanan niya? may anak (or ampon) ba ito? Like sa SMB si Ang na nagpatuloy.
baka naman sacramento monarchs yung tinutukoy ni beth celis![]()
malabong magkaroon ng Filipino lineup dyan panigurado... purely business yan...
looks like another "johnny abbarientos to play for charlotte hornets" type of news hype
