How to Become a Good Mother
1.SEEK ADVISE FROM EXPERIENCED WOMEN
You can use the experience and expertise of older women to deal with your children. Remember you do not have answers to everything. Allow others to assist you on the journey of being a mother.
2.GET HELP FROM FAMILY MEMBERS SO YOU CAN REST
You can have your spouse or older children, if you have them, take care of the younger children. You do not have to be awake to oversee everything. Shared responsibilities will allow you time for yourself.
3.DO NOT PROJECT YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON YOUR CHILDREN
There is a push-back against mothers who try to live their dreams through their children. Your child is a totally unique individual with a purpose and destiny to attain. To foist your pre-existing dreams on him/her is a bad move bound to backfire.
4.DO NOT SMOTHER YOUR CHILDREN
Some mothers just want to be everywhere their children are. It is okay when they are little. It gets scary when they become teenagers.
5.LET YOUR CHILDREN GROW THEIR WINGS
Your children must have experiences of their own. You will help them to gain courage and confidence by going out into the world to put into practice everything you have taught them.
6.YOUR CHILDREN LOVE YOU TO DEATH, THEY JUST DON'T SHOW IT
Don't worry. Your children appreciate all that you have done for them. They might not have their priorities right but they know what you have done and will hold you in honor for that.
7.YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MOTHER, NO MATTER WHAT
You are the counsel that never goes away. Your children know you have their interests at heart. They will come to you when things get over their heads. Just give them the freedom to make their mistakes and learn from them.
