    Let Us Help Ourselves

I have been a member for a few months already and have posted quite a few times already, i would like to think that i have been helpful with tips and insights.
but lately, I've noticed that things have started to get sour.

the things I've noticed among posters are:

1.they do not want to read.
2.they ask questions that can be answered by simply having common sense
3.not thinking by themselves and researching on their own, outside of the forum
4.coming here without any REAL, SPECIFIC FEASIBLE, REALISTIC GOALS IN MIND. (BEING HUGE, RIPPED, STRONG ARE IDEALS AND NOT EXACTLY GOALS e.g SAMPLES OF GOALS ARE: having bf% below 10-below% in 6mos. because I am currently at 12%; squatting 400lbs for a meet in 8weeks time with my current squat of 315lbs)

although there are numerous new posters here who just started lifitng and are great examples for any beginner to ideally follow, this has been more of an exception more than the rule. it makes me happy to see intelligent and insightful questions. as the Filipino saying goes: "MASARAP TULUNGAN *** TINUTULUNGAN SARILI NILA"

so please, gentlemen! me and the other coaches will always be here to help anyone who would care to listen, and i dont want to sound boastful, but i do know my stuff.

all i ask from you guys is to have GOALS, LISTEN, be MOTIVATED and CONSISTENT, lastly please HELP YOURSELVES.

lets all raise the intelligence in our forum! lets raise the level of training acumen here.

    This should be a sticky!

To the newbs, you're gaining a lot of valuable information in this thread and what's best is that it's for FREE. All you have to do is have some initiative for everything won't be served to you in a silver platter.

Ang bigas bago kainin kailangan munang isaing.

Also, let's focus more on building strength for everything else will follow. Nakakasuya na yung puro "abs" na lang ang hinahanap without having a good foundation at all. If this is the only thing that you're after, then go to Belo or Calayan instead to save time and bandwidth.

I can sympathize with both ends of the spectrum. When I started out, I was as blind as a bat like all these other newbies posting. They wouldn't know what specific goals to target, they don't know what realistic goals are.. etc etc.. Now that I know what I know it is hard to tell newbies sometimes to realign their objectives and "study first"... goals later.

i hope alumbrado categorized me as one of those "great examples". Im no trainer but i also answer some questions in the forum hoping i could help. Specially if its past mistakes that i made. anyways, even as a beginner napansin ko na rin ang pnpoint out ni TS.

Kasasabi lang ng TS na kailangan magbasa basa ka, hindi yung tanung ng tanung. We don't allow spoon feedings here hija ok? If you really wanna lose weight then try to look for the forums here then backread. You can also type google.com then ask your questions.

    we're here to discuss, right?

some exercises target same set of muscles. i just wanted to know which exercises would hit my problem straight.

do i have to make a separate thread for that simple query?

Hello, I'm looking for good resistance bands. There isn't much choices for me out here.

All I've seen is Everlast which is about Php 1,800.00. Do you guys know where I can buy a good set?

Or should I just stick with dumbbells?
