Nanood ako ng USA vs North Korea kagabi. Final score was 2-0. Disallowed pa yung supposedly third goal dahil nahawakan na raw with both hands ng NoKor yung bola bago nasipa papasok sa goal.

Sobrang galing ng USA. Kung ganito lang sana kagaling men's team nila lol. Technique, defensive awareness, first touches, athleticism, sobrang imba.

So yeah I'll be riding the USA/Hope Solo bandwagon this women's world cup. I'll be expecting them and Deutschland/Sverige to be in the finals. Battle of the sexy

I hope France does well to make up for the men's humiliating WC in South Africa. I'm sorta cheering on NZ too because I want to see these girls do the Haka in my lifetime

^^ Colombia is a pretty bad team though. And don't kid yourself, much as I like women's football, full national teams routinely get destroyed by teenage boys teams. The physical/speed advantage is too big to hurdle.

From the PbP comments I've been reading it looks like a deserved US win and Hope Solo. That said, this is the women's game. The US, despite their horrible tourney until this game, is a bigger powerhouse than Brazil.

Still hoping France or Japan can win it all for a completely new champ.

When it comes to women's football, USA is more powerhouse than Brazil. USA is ranked number 1, Brazil number 3. And USA won 2 world cups while Brazil never won.

Hope Solo proved that she is the best GK in women's football.
