AMC's The Killing (Three Stories One Murder)

Series is going to premiere this Sunday. I'm kinda intrigued with the whole premise of the show although from what I've seen in the trailer, it looks like your standard US mystery/procedural show (i.e. Kidnapped and Vanished).

Will it be The Walking Dead for 2011 or will it be this year's Rubicon?

^Edit: Did AMC aired episodes online in advance?

Hopefully, it did not disappoint (because the trailer did for me). I'm hearing complaints about the remake from message boards, being compared to the original version from the Danes (ironically though, Forbrydelsen's EP is also helming this show).

    Watched the premiere.

If you are tired of ordinary crime drama series, then you may want to try The Killing. Why? Simply because it doesn't solve a crime with just a snap of the fingers, rather it takes us to the real events of the investigation exploring the complexities and difficulties of the same. Indeed, it is not an ordinary crime drama series.

    One season = one crime?

That was the case of the original Danish show. Hopefully, Americans can appreciate shows with a one season only storyline.

    Episode 3:

Guess what? The series' first witness is a Filipino janitor named Lyndon Johnson Rosales(yata)!

Love her mom's line "Wala rito, wala, wala. Umalis na kayo."

watched the first 2 episodes of this because i heard it got good reviews and i liked it.

really good cinematography. felt like i was watching a movie and not just a 1 hour tv show.

it's a simple, basic story, but they did a really good job storytelling and walking the viewers through the investigation. love the background music too.

i was super surprised when i heard the mom speak tagalog.
