I would attest to the quality of 3M. Don't go for lesser brands as they would most likely fade in a few years.

If you're going to buy anything you can't go wrong with 3M. They seem to have something from everything and they're all good.

3M is good, but there are other films that are better quality ( not to mention cheaper ) depending on the situation. V-Kool is of course the best when it comes to heat rejection, that's what we have known but technology has kicked in and now Nano films in the market have gone beyond the reams of old technology such as that of 3M and V-KOOL. Only recently both companies started investing in their R&D. Nano-Tech another brand from Japan has had 3M and VKOOL dealers questioning their loyalty. Llumar, also quite a descent brand has stepped up gear.

security film na yun. pag tint lang, cheaper pa. saka may mga swatches sila na dala.

pero base sa nasilip ko sa overall contract price, parang reasonable naman, actually, parang mura nga. I was expecting something really high.

tinawagan ko kanina yung Solar Gard, di ko nakausap si ethel, pero iniwan ko number ko dun sa kausap ko, ibibigay na lang daw nya kay Ethel. nagulat na lang ako kanina ng tumawag si Ethel nasa site na daw sya hehe.. ayun sinukatan na nya yung windows na sinabi ko. sana mura hehe... salamat!

actually ang nacoconsider namin ng husband ko if not with the tint is putting roller blinds on those windows instead na curtains.

what do you think on having tints on those windows and having roller blinds as well? redundant ba?

P220 per sq ft (with installation) ang quote ni solar gard sa akin for a 4mm security film. phone inquiry lang muna. sa wednesday magsusukat sila sa house ko.

Mommy, well, yung film would still allow the light to come in.
Pag gusto mo block yung liwanag, pwede mag roller blinds.
Dami naman shades nung tint, you may choose the one that suits your needs.

Minka, ang kapal ng 4mm! Baka bulletproof na yan. Hehehe.

Aside from being thicker than usual tints (automotive film tints), what exactly does a security film do? Sorry ... I'm a bit confused lang ... does this prevent burglars from actually breaking the glass? Does it also reduce heat and UV?

Albert, yes. Security films will make it very difficult to break the glass.
May psi rating yung mga security films, depende sa kapal. And ma break man nila, they would still have to detach the shards from the film. Good luck sa kanila
3 micron ata yung thinnest security film. And yes, it does offer the same uv and heat rejecting properties of tints. Kumbaga, tint siya na mas makapal ng konti.

By the way, what color you're getting? Parang weird kasi to have very dark colored windows.

Actually, I met Ethel sa isang project.

pero when I would personally use one, I prefer yung magic tint like... tipong mala mirror effect sa labas pag maliwanag sa labas.

ganyan ang nilagay sa 2 mirrors ko sa bathroom, mirror ang effect, pero walang tint, I am not sure kung anong tawag sa glass na yan, nakalimutan ko sinabi ng supplier ko ang tawag eh, pero alam ko hindi sya tint. kaninang umaga, tinitignan ko sya from outside the house, ganyan ang itsura sa nipost mong photo.

I just realized, our street gets a bit dark at night... so when I have my lights on inside, tapos etong "mirror" tint ang nakalagay, baka wala na ako makita sa labas (looking out from the inside)? Tapos yung nasa labas kitang-kita naman yung loob ng house?

albert, well, naka magic tint oto ko, medyo may pagka ganon nga. pero parang medyo mas bias siya one way. which is inside looking out. o dahil pag umaga ay sadyang maliwanag talaga.

or I guess it's the right time to install lighting outside the windows.

minka, baka kako tipong aquarium window ng vault mo. kaya naka ganon kakapal. I think 4 microns is just right. pero kasi parang meron din nung 4mm kaya I thought yun pinakabit mo. did they give you a less? si Ethel ba nakausap mo?
