Piolo Pascual To Start Filming of New Movie in U.S.

NEW HAVEN, CT –Piolo Pascual’s first solo U.S. tour with comedian Pokwang came to an end with a bang at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut Sunday.

It was the first ever Filipino concert held in the historic 110-year-old Woolsey Hall Theater at Yale University. Filipino students were proud to have sponsored the concert.

Filipino organization “Kasama” member Chris Lapinig said, “I’m a law student here at Yale, I went to undergrad here as well, I just wanna say this is the most Filipinos I’ve ever seen on this campus, so it’s a really great thing to see.”

Jenny Capa, a Piolo die-hard fan from New Jersey said “Even if we paid an arm and a leg for this concert, we had so much fun and it was worth it… we even hired a driver to bring all of us from New Jersey to Connecticut.”

Now that his concert tour has ended, Piolo said he will start to film his still untitled movie which will be spoken entirely in English in New York, Los Angeles and possibly in Connecticut.

While the production team is trying to keep details of the new movie in the down-low, Piolo gave Balitang America an exclusive sneak peek.
Piolo said, “It’s not your typical romantic-comedy type of film with a leading lady, I have other partners, not just one.”
Piolo said playing the role of a Filipino American, he needs a little help from his special team of coaches – from a linguistics coach to his acting and dancing coaches.

Piolo said, “I’m immersing already into the culture and how it is really to live like a local.”

Fans said they can not wait to see Piolo’s latest movie masterpiece.
Grace Geronimo of Krispi Berks, – a Piolo and KC Fan Club said, “It’s very special because I love Piolo and KC, so anything that Piolo does is big thrill for all of us.”
Filming starts in April.

Piolo said he is spending a month in the U.S. to finish his movie before he heads back home to start a new teleserye on ABS-CBN, a movie with Angelica Panganiban, and an Asian concert tour.

After years of waiting, actor Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban will be reunited in a film under Star Cinema.

In an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon, Pascual and Panganiban shared their excitement to be paired in a new movie after their last team up for the TV series "Mangarap Ka."

"First time namin to work with direk Mae Cruz sa pelikula. It's a privilege for us kasi kamada na ni direk ang pelikula. Ngayon naman sasabak kaming dalawa, kaming tatlo. I'm so excited because bago ito sa aming tatlo, never ko pang nakasama si Angel sa pelikula, never ko pang nakasama si direk Mae sa pelikula," Pascual said.

For Panganiban, she shared that it would be her first time to play a character really close to her real life personality.

"First time kong gagawa ng romantic comedy. Sabi ko nga ito na ang pinaka-challenging role na naibigay sa akin, super lapit sa personality ko," Panganiban said.

The actress said that she will be having a good time working with Pascual because of their good chemistry.

"Masaya kami. Actually ang problema namin paano kami magiging seryoso. Siguro masyado kaming kumportable sa isa't isa kaya hindi namin alam kung paano kami aarte," she added.

A Wikipedia entry said the new movie has a working title of "Postcards from Heaven."

KAYA pala malungkot at napaismid si Kim Chui nitong nakaraan niyang preskon nu'ng tanungin sa pretty teen star kung matutuloy ba ang pinaplanong movie nito with Papa Piolo Pascual, si Kim siyempre ang unang sinabihan na masyado pa siyang payat for the role kaya't napunta ito kay Angelica Panganiban.

"Mag-i-start na rin kasi si Kim sa Binondo Girl, kaya isa rin ito sa mga dahilan kung bakit pina-back-out siya sa nasabing project," tsika ng aming source.

"Wag naman daw sabihing mas pinaboran ang tandem na Piolo-Angelica Panganiban kaysa sa Piolo-Kim.

Marahil ay isa ring dahilan kung bakit si Angel(palayaw ni Angelica) ang pinili over Kim para sa role ay maraming love scenes ang involved sa istorya at baka hindi maibigay ni Kim ang hinihinging demands ng movie as far as maturity ng role ang nakasalalay.

Mas magandang sabihin na hindi pa handa si Kim sa more mature roles.

Nakatakdang mag-start ang syuting ng Piolo-Angelica project kahapon, May 9, at magkakaroon pa ng location shoot sa isang sa isang 'di pa napangalanang lugar. Kung dito sa atin o sa ibang bansa ang location, isa rin ito sa mga kinokonsidera.

A planned movie for Kim Chui and Piolo Pascual from Star Cinema will not be pushed through anymore!
A very reliable source said that there is no chemistry between the two. Kim is too young to be paired with Piolo Pascual. They instead replaced her with Angelica Panganiban. The story is now being now being revised and the title is still being worked out. The director of the movie has already been chosen and it is Mae Cruz name that came up.

ROMCOM film!!! Piolo haven't worked in a romcom film in recent years... lage drama!! can't wait for this one!!! and this is my wish for angel's next film... she had done drama,comedy, horror, now ROMCOM!!! in a span of 2 years, she was able to do every mainstream role... after this onto an offbeat role na!!! go angel!

yup! excited ako!!! basta sana hindi song derived ang title ng movie, maganda ang poster at OPM ang themesong... come on star cinema, give it your best shot!!!
