@djs09, like I mentioned before, around 40-50 ang math-bap froshies every year

when comparing mth-bap and stat, in terms of "hirap" sa tingin ko it depends kasi yung "accounting,economics,finance,statistics,mathematics,programming,financial economics" pinag-aaralan din naman yan pag kinuha mo mth-bap. i think no one can really know for sure kung alin mas mahirap unless it's someone who took up both courses, may mga mahirap na subjects ang both courses.

Is this a good course? I applied for Financial Institutions kasi but they gave me Math-BAP instead.

i think mth-bap is good, its a combination of diff fields like acountng,stat,actuary, programming, etc...

BAP is the largest population in the math department, so don't worry. Kaya mo yan. Yes it's a difficult course, like all other math courses, but the profs we have are the best, and they can explain the most difficult math concepts in the best ways possible.

Anyway, for the reference ng mga makakabasa: kung passion mo Math, it's the course for you. Plus the fact na may mga business courses (I like the statistical methods ) ka, na nakakadagdag sa marketability mo pagkagradweyt mo. And I think the Math subjects themselves are also nice (though I don't really know 'cause I'm not a Math major, pero I'm close ). Expect lots of theories, though.

You could be anywhere with a Math degree, although mas defined ang career path ng isang BS-STAT graduate, especially dito sa ating pamantasan na may major na Actuarial Science ang kursong nabanggit. Sa salary... Maraming articles na nagkalat sa internet ang nagpapakita ng opportunities ng isang Math/Stat grad and some figures tungkol sa sweldo. At I gotta say na maganda ang pay sa atin(?) hehehe.

I na sa finance din daw ang course na ito. so ano pinagkaiba niya sa managament of financial institutions? which is better?
