    Experience with JRS Contractors

    Hi guys!

My new house will be constructed in a few months but needs renovations like tiling, cabinets, gates, fence, furniture, etc. And I would like to get the services of an all around contractor.

I have been looking at the website of JRS Contractors for the past many months. (http://www.jrscontractors.tk/) Seem impressive. But there are not so good feedback about JRS.

What's the real score? Any info that you could provide would be highly appreciated, especially first-hand info/experience. Preferably with pictures.

    Cheers,
    Neo

Stay away from JRS contractors owned by jackie salas. A quick google will show up numerous bad experiences of customers:

When you said "there are not so good feedback about JRS," that's an understatement. Whatever positive feedback you saw about that company was made by those behind the JRS. They scammed a lot of customers already and there is an on-going complaint against them in DTI which prompted them to operate under another name: FURNITURE FAIR STATION.

Their JRS sulit.com.ph page and multiply site were all suspended because of the massive complaints against them.

Jackie sales and home value strikes again!

BEWARE: THESE PEOPLE DO NOT DELIVER THE FURNITURE ORDERED AND THEY DO NOT RETURN YOUR DEPOSIT/NO REFUND!THE ONE RUNNING THE SHOW IS JACKIE SALES.

I am filing a lawsuit against this entity. They are very unprofessional and would successively fail to deliver the furniture ordered.

I ordered a sofa and a dining table on 12 April 2012 and paid the deposit in their MetroBank account. They undertook to deliver on 05 May 2012 at PAST 4 PM.

The alleged "GM" JACKIE SALES sent a text message at 1 pm on 05 May 2012 to inform me that they used a plain cloth instead of a printed cloth for the 2 back cushions. Thus, the sofa now was all brown according to her. They changed my order without even consulting me. Their lopsided reason: they wanted to comply with the 05 May delivery (yeah sure but was it according to the specifications agreed upon, NO, of course!) Then there was this lopsided reasoning that they deliver at the most after 21 days from deposit excluding Holy Week BUT, ayone who knows how to count excluding Holy week from 10 April, 05 May is 20 days already.

Instead of past 4pm, the delivery of the dining table was made past 6 pm. I did not accept the sofa although it stayed in their van because it was not in accordance with what was agreed upon considering that the cushions as texted by the GM were in plain color. The dining table had a glass top but this was glued and it was not even aligned properly on top of the table. I immediately sent them an email on this.

They promised to make good and found the printed material for the sofa cushions allegedly. They promised to deliver on 10May at past 7. I called their office at past 6 and the staff told me that the delivery van is on its way to my condo. then later, their employee texted me at 8:38 pm saying that if it was possible in the condo where I am staying at to deliver it at past 10 pm because they were still in Project 8.

This was the last straw that broke the camel's back. The GM even had the nerve to send a text, that maybe the reason why I am alone in the condo is because I do not know "pakikipagkapwa tao" She asked if I had a maid so I need not be impatient in waiting for the delivery. This is the kind of people you are dealing with at HomeValue Concept.

The GM, pathetically justified it as, "I knew that they had a delivery in Cavite and so I needed to be considerate." This was supposed to be a back job for the failure in delivering what has been promised and instead of prioritizing it, the GM even had to find fault in the client for not being considerate. This entity knows only about one thing--taking orders and deposits they cannot handle.

They accepted the sofa order without seeing to it that they had enough materials. Relative to the dining table and the misaligned glass top, they would point fingers either to their own delivery personnel or the outsourced entity for providing the glass top.

Finally the Gm texted that she will NOT return the deposit and upon the threat of a lawsuit that I will file, she said "she saved the text messages for their corporate lawyer! They are NOT EVEN A CORPORATION. They have a MetroBank bank account for deposits to be made under the name of an individual according to the GM JACKIE SALES is the name of her daughter--Nikka Gumera. BUT it is NOT A CORPORATION contrary to what the GM claims. Even their invoice failed to reflect this.

They end everything with God bless! I find it to be a hypocrisy.

They grapple with lopsided justifications for their failures and make it appear to be the client's fault. Pakikipagkapwa tao has no bearing on contractual obligations!

These people just dismiss the obligations by saying they will NOT return the deposit and they do not deliver the furniture.

Personally, it is better to give your money to charity at least you know it is for a good purpose than ordering furnitures from these people. Their website on multiply dot com does not reflect the true prices. Get a surprise of your life when you ask them...prices go way up.

This 11 May 2012, their staff Catherine called me up to make good the delivery but when it was delivered I was appalled that the sofa was beige instead of brown despite the quotation they sent for color brown as I requested and paid the deposit for. The GM Jackie Sales spoke with me and told me she will NOT reimburse even if there is evidence that they made a mistake.

Isn't this some sort of highway robbery! They take your money and they successively fail in performing their part of the agreement and thereafter run with your money! They do not have quality control--all their furniture making are outsourced from independent contractors. All they do is pick it up from the contractors and deliver it to your home and with their add on profit--they do not even check if it is the right specifications. They never admit their misgivings. They never rectified my dining table with misaligned glass top despite emails and phone calls, they deliver the sofa but not according to specs. despite their very own email to me af a quotation for color brown sofa--they insist its beige.

The Gm when asked if upon proof, she will return the deposit considering that she was pressing for me to forward the email to prove it; she said STILL she wont return the deposit. See how these people are? They never admit mistakes but they ran away with your money.

So the following days after today, 11 May 2012 will be spent preparing my complaint for criminal and civil charges. These people should be taught a lesson.

They are mere integrators of services --furnitures are done by independent contractors and when something flops; they would easily point their fingers to these contractors, **** tom and harry and even the client but never take the blame for their own failures and non compliance.
I scream FRAUD! Return my money JAKIE SALES AND HOME VALUE! I will also file cases with the DTI and the BIR

Wow. Pwede palang maipasara kapag maraming complaints. San ba dapat nag cocomplain pag ganon? Sa DTI? Ang contractors ba dapat may license? I think it's about time na dapat pakuhain na ng license ang construction companies.

    Now called HomeValue Concept

I had the exact same experience with this Jackie Salas and her company. They are now called HomeValue Concept. I ordered and paid the 20% downpayment last April 30, they promised to deliver my items in 20 business days, exact date May 24. It took them almost 6 weeks to deliver my items, June 9.

No one from their company informed me that the delivery will be delayed–I had to be the one to call them to ask if my order will be delivered on time. Even on the day itself, no one bothered to contact me so I had to contact them. They gave me so many excuses on why the delivery was delayed: it was raining, the ducco finish didn’t dry; the machine for polishing the wood broke down; and on the day itself, the delivery van got towed they had to wait until the evening. They also told me I will be the priority for delivery on the very next day, but then their delivery van got towed so they arrived really late, around 10PM.

During the course of the two-week delay, I have been constantly calling them, and I even asked for a refund. She said I will not get the refund in full if I want it right away and I have to wait 2 months if I want it in full. Of course, that was unfair so I decided instead to take a risk and just go ahead with the orders; anyway, what's another two weeks of waiting on top of the month, right? I was so damn patient.

When the items came, the bedframe I ordered was lacking the handles for the drawers as they apparently forgot to bring it with them. I called Jackie about it after a week, after waiting the whole week for their contractors to bring it to my unit, but she denied knowledge of it. When I told her that I read about the negative reviews on about her, she blew up and shouted at me then hung up the phone.

Here are their contact details which I got from their email signature:

I am willing to help in making her pay for all the deceitful business she's done. This has got to stop.

Had I known that they were already closed down by Mandaluyong City government, I wouldn't have pushed through with my orders. Tsk. I hope this serves as a warning to all to avoid getting conned by this Jackie Salas and Nikka Diane Gumera.
