I already did. I have been there.

I just want you to experience what I have experienced and see the people there and their reasoning.

Mas ok di ba kung on-hand ang pag experience mo hindi dahil sa sinabi ko lang, in that way mas maiintindihan mo kung bakit isinusulong ang RH Bill.

    Most effective way: educate people.

People are so blinded. See, they don't even want to go to the slums. And yet they call themselves PRO-Life. Tsk.

  5. #25

Ako: May balak pa ho ba kayong sundan yan?

    Morons.

i believe in the use of contraceptives but i think the RH Bill is still flawed. how many of us have actually read and understood the entire bill anyway?

i am still ambivalent about this, sige basahin ko pa uli.

I'm not familiar with the RH Bill though.

However, it gives me the sense that the majority of the people can't do simple math. The government has to step in to control a dumb population. The religious community only made them dumber.

Make more babies, even with no budget = idiots
Religious folks encouraging it = morons

    Congressman Pacquiao's stand

    http://www.gmanews.tv/story/216253/n...nt-be-here-now

If my dad and Mommy Dionesia used a condom, there wouldn't be a Manny Pacquiao)," he said.

He also said the RH bill will cause the degradation of the youth's morality.

As a father, I don't want my children to be taught such lewdness. That's why I'm asking you to fight the RH bill)," he said.
Not all people are as lucky as him.

    Using Pacman's logic

RH bill degrading youth... they're just delaying in inevitable

    ^^^

Ah, so this is the RH bill. ok.

But, spending P3 billion for rubber balloons and anti baby pills is too excessive spending. Is this on a yearly basis ba? Although, I would really be happy in using them as water balloons, hahahha.

Well, anyway, I agree with one poster here is that the best is education talaga. Posters lang and reading materials made from recycled paper ang gagastusin. Tapos i facebook mo, twitter, commercials, news and media, etc. for public information.

The material should provide several alternative in how to family planning and that the country cannot afford an increasing population, bla bla bla.

Condom and pills, although effective, must be use as a last resort if you're so manyakis. Maybe condoms should be directed at those sexually active for pokpoks to protect them from occupational hazards.

I came from a high school with staunch Catholic views, but to my parents' surprise, teachers taught us Sex Ed as part of PEHM. It was awkward and we giggled most of the time, but it was all academic. I can say we had a deeper appreciation for reproductive health, family planning, etc. Hindi naman naging mas malib0g or what.

The RH bill will also promote responsible parenthood.

As everyone knows abstinence as claimed by the Church as the natural and moral way of limiting pop growth, is not working. As predicted from my textbooks when I was elem in the 90s, the population of the Philippines will nearly double in 20 years, if this would not be addressed.

And how can one argue that it degrades morality, naglipana nga ang mga computer rentals where children can simply browse on porn websites. The RH bill is a way of countering this poor exposure to sex.

And sa dami ba naman na ng Pilipino, mukha pa ba tayong inosente sa sex, kitang kita na nga ang ebidensya through our fast rising population that we're not anymore.

At least, providing education would decrease the incidence of unwanted pregnancies, sread of ST infections, and poor maternal health.

And to those worried about consuming money with this, wag na kayong manghinayang, dahil gumagastos na tayo as taxpayers sa bawat nanganganak ng libre in maternity clinics, sa pagpapaaral ng mga anak nila at other health related concerns like libreng bakuna, etc.

I've been there Revelations, during my internship for several weeks in different shanties and slums in Manila. And no one can describe the misery that those children are experiencing because of their irresponsible parents.

yes, the parents should be educated and be given a "choice". Not passing the RH bill means we are agreeing that they must remain ignorant re. the matter.
puntahan natin ang bottomline neto-- what is the desired result. the desired result is the regulation of the population. para hindi lumago ng husto ang dami ng tao, correct? at least that's the primary reason to my understanding.

all well and good-- provided that it is within the law. what this means is that those engaging in s3x should be of legal age and should not be in a polygamous relationship. syempre as much as possible to minimize premarital s3x (adultery).

now yung comment mo about mga bata na parang aso at pusa sa kalye. no, I did not quote you out of context. on the subject of the RH bill the logic is: kung nag-condom or nag-pills sana ang mga magulang ng mga bata na nagkalat sa kalye na parang aso at pusa eh di wala sila. do tell me that I'm wrong on this point.

irresponsible parents ignorant on the matter. what exactly are they ignorant about?!? don't tell me that they are ignorant of the fact that s3x does not equal pregnancy?

the topic of irresponsible parents is different from their procreation activities (s3x-- whether planned or unplanned).

ano ba eto talaga? the solution for irresponsible parents is to make contraceptives readily available? to guarantee universal access to methods and information on birth control and maternal care?

I don't see a correlation between educating irresponsible parents to be responsible versus "birth control and maternal care".

    --------
    @pangasar

that dialog you had with someone doesn't give an answer as to why they have s3x.

oh, and I have been to the slums too btw. akala mo dyan lang sa mga squatters area marami nanganganak? have you heard of the term "baby factory"? maraming ganyan dito sa probinsya. hindi exclusive sa mga squatters ang pagkakaroon ng maraming anak, fyi.

take for example this comedy/slice of life movie:
