If it's purely on gameplay and innovation, I would have to say that Chrono Trigger wins for me.

Final Fantasy IX was the most nostalgic FF game ever (for me)
I also think that it is the most mystical Final Fantasy of all the Final Fantasy Series.

I couldn't agree more. With an incredible story, magical environment, unforgettable characters and BGMs, FFIX was unmistakably the best of all FF games, in my opinion. All of the game's elements can capture a gamer's heart.

i think i've only used Belias 'cause it was mandatory for the Giruvegan quest wasn't able to get the spear, i opened tons of chests so nothing was waiting for me in Nabudis i wasn't too much of a completist with XII

Actually, I never played another FF since FFIX. LOL. My younger was the one who played FFXII. I only watched him. But, he did manage getting the spear although his level was way below the one that can help you venture all through nabudis. Heaven's luck, he did picked the right chest containing the fabled spear.

Story wise - FF7, graphics wise - FF10. Laki kasi ng jump graphics wise kapag nagsimula ka sa FF7 tapos nakita yung FF10. Yung FF13 at 13-2 mejo ok, siguro dahil sanay na ako makakita ng ganong graphics.

Best for me was 5 and 6. Worst was 7 and 8, lalo na 7, puro hype lang.

Final Fantasy 7 the best para sa akin... mula 7 hangang 13 natapos ko na. Pero pinaka favorite kong character (babae) eh si Yuna ng FF X...yun nga ang magiging name ng baby girl ko...

Medyo agree ako tungkol sa 7 and 8.

    Sana RPG nalang ang Dissidia.

    FF12

open world, mature story, and no selecting attack on every encounter lol

I'm of the opinion also that FF7 is way overhyped

    FFIV

    FFVI

    and

    FFXII

    The rest are trashy.

FFIX ang the best para sakin. Ramdam mo pa kasi yung fantasy dun, yung 6, 7, at 8 kasi masyadong futuristic ang technology. Pero maganda din naman ang VIII.

    RIGHT ON!!!

And the first most-immersive FF environment I've played.
The Gambit system for me was better than having to find a way to hold the confirm button down (FF X-2).
The battle system could've been better if they tweaked it a little more.
No more Resident Evil-like fixed camera angles/pannings.

FFVI was the first 3D title. Kaya siguro medyo malalim yung first impression na naiwan ng larong 'yun.
