Well, main games from 7 onwards are in the playstation consoles but FF 1-6 used to be in the Nintendo consoles. Also, there are several FF games for Nintendo handhelds such as FF Tactics Advance and remakes of older FF titles in the DS.

great story, awesome gameplay. replay value is off the charts. so many things to try in this game, including 'impossible' skill builds using codebreaker

Played FF6-FF12

My ranking
FF9 - Very good story, very good gameplay, very good characters. Just Amazing in every way.
FF6 - same as FF9.
FF10 - good overall but i don't really like the skill map (forgot what it's called)
FF8 - very good love story. however, the draw and junction system killed the game.
FF7 - ok lang. average in every way
FFX-2 - IMO this game has the best gameplay among all FF games i've played but where's the story? There is no story!!!
FF12 - got bored with this game.

In any case, My Fave FF in the whole series is
Final Fantasy Versus 13
well the reason why I chose that is because, i saw the trailer and i even downloaded it 720p on Gametrailer, and it was awesome.
But questioning it's exclusivity, i'm not sure if it still PS3 Exclusive.

Ang ganda nga ng Trailer ng Versus13, very promising. Kaya lang meron akong doubt talaga na made-delay pa ng husto yan, kasi nga sa disaster na nangyari sa japan.

FVII - classic, made sure everyone got a PS during that time
FFX (only, not X-2) - it was to the PS2 as FFVII was to the PS
FF Tactics - strategies galore !

1. FFVI = Epic Story + Awesome Villian = the best FF for me
2. FF tactics = Great Story and Dialogue
3. FFIX = Great Story and Unforgettable characters
4. FFXII = Innovative battle system (atleast for a final fantasy game) and very good hunt system kept me playing for more
5. FFVII = Overrated, although it's clearly better than FFVIII, Plus the best villian in Sephiroth

Tactics - great plot. great gameplay. replayability. great tactics (what else?)

VII - plot worthy of a hollywood film - the best among the series. great characters - the best cast. deep thought placed in the story. great soundtrack.

VI - great characters and there's so many of them. great story. the theme (terra). broke away from the classic RPG roles which was what made it instantly loved.

VIII - ranked over IX because of the theme song. good story between the two main characters. the others are interchangeable, which dips it lower in the scale. innovative graphics (at the time)

IX - lovable great characters. nostalgia effect. homage to classic RPG roles.

XII - interesting gameplay. plays like a movie. became too serious, though. hated what they did to the equivalent of the limit break, which didn't differentiate between characters and has a quite confusing mechanic.

X - great story - 2nd in rank to VII, although voice acting could be better. quirky character roles, though.

IV - the last of the classic style RPG in the FF line
