^Di ko alam na basic lang pala ang 27k sa mga call center agents. From what I know 18k yung basic...I might be wrong. But at least, UP professors are not stressed. They are just going to handle at most 12 units load. Anything beyond that is considered an overload. Plus, it's really easy and effortless to teach in UP since the academic culture does not condone SPOON-FEEDING!

Maaring tama ka pero depende na din sa mid term goals mo kung ano mas gusto mo. E.g. mas madaling pagsabayin ang pagtuturo at pag-aaral sa UP kesa pagtrabaho sa call center at pag-aaral sa UP.

you could be right pero mas clear naman future ng isang prof sa UP. Call center job is seasonal, once the chinese learn to speak english it is goodbye job na, then san na sila mag-work? I have many friends who used to work in semicon, taas sahod pero ng magsara intel, philips, etc and lumipat sa china and vietnam until now jobless sila..

27K starting sal + benefits sa UP ay OK na, di pa kasama dyan yung prestige and you can work part time then outside UP like winnie monsod

Sa kasalukuyan, tinatayang P19,000 ang kita ng isang bagong gurong nagsisimula bilang Instructor 1, samantalang aabot sa humigit-kumulang P53,000 ang pinakamataas ng suweldong maaaring matanggap ng isang guro sa UP na Professor 8 ang posisyon batay sa SSL3.

Kumikita naman ng humigit-kumulang P30,000 ang isang full professor sa UP habang P50,000 naman ang natatanggap ng full professor sa Ateneo at umaabot hanggang P94,000 sa La Salle.

27K for those with MS na. And 27K is gross, net is around 23-24k. Anyway, merge na nga lang siguro to sa other thread.
