I read sa other thread na bawal gumamit ng Smith machine for squats, what's the reason for this?
^ if you can bench more than your bodyweight for reps, your arms will look solid. the smith machine puts you in a fixed plane and does not recruit as much muscles as the barbell squat

Squatting on a smith machine will reduce the benefit to core/abdominal muscles, etc. You are better off learning to squat on the free bar.
