INTERVIEW

Are you close to your dad?

Andi: My dad and I are very close. I’ve been seeing my dad since I was a kid, regularly, although not these days because I’m busy with work. But we send each other text messages, regularly. If he doesn’t text, he calls me every day.

Are you close to your siblings?

Andi: Yes, we are. I have five half-siblings on my dad’s side and a little brother on my mom’s side. My best friend is Stephanie because we’re in the same age-range. I often invite her to sleep over in our house. I make her tag along with me to my mall shows, my shoots and my pictorials. We know each other’s friends.

What about the mothers of your half-siblings? Close ka rin ba sa kanila?

Andi: Yeah, I know Tita Irene and Tita Bing but I’m close to only Tita Maricar because she’s the “present” of my dad.

How much of you do you think is Mark Gil?

Andi: I’ve said this before —- I am 30 percent my dad, 30 percent my mom and the rest (40 percent) is just me. Even if people say that they see so much of my dad and my mom in me, I’m still my own person. That’s how my parents raised me.

When you say 30/30, what do you mean?

Andi: I mean the looks. The 40 percent is myself as an individual. I’m an introvert; I have my moods, I’m basically quiet. Sometimes, I am hyper and I get it from my dad. Like my mom, I’m hardworking. This comes from both my parents: I “over-think” things. And I’m dramatic...that comes from my mom.

Elaborate on the 40 percent...

Andi: It’s my own personality because it’s the mix of both my dad and my mom; it’s the sum total of what and who I am. Like my mom, I love the arts. We have the same taste in clothes, in films and in food, and the irony is that we always fight about that. Maybe because we don’t want to be alike.

What’s your type of boys...pareho rin ng sa mom mo?

Andi: My mom got mad at me before because I bought a T-shirt that said, “I only date musicians!” She said, “Why are you wearing that shirt? I’m the one who’s dating only musicians, not you!” Although at that time I wasn’t dating pa naman talaga, eh.

Are you close to musicians?

Andi: I like music kasi, eh. I’m an artist, too, like my mom. But my mom’s taste in musicians is more OA. I like rock and she likes relaxing music, ‘yung mga mellow tunes. I like the more “indie” and more eccentric genre.

What have been the changes in your life after Agua Bendita?

Andi: It’s my launching show and I’m very blessed because I’ve been getting good feedback. The changes? I have new friends now from showbiz but I don’t get to see my old, non-showbiz friends anymore. I can’t do the things that I used to, like going to the mall, eating at McDonald’s or simply being normal and having fun and being carefree. I used to do things without worrying about what people would say about me. But now, I’m more careful.

In the soap, the good girl is Agua and the bad girl is Bendita. Which of the two girls do you identify with?

Andi: Half-half. Because I’m nice naman. But I’m not pretentious. I don’t pretend to be someone that I’m not. My mom taught me that the best way to get away with things is to be honest. So I’m being myself; I have nothing to hide.

What are the values that you learned from your dad and your mom?

Andi: Aside from being honest? Well, that I have to respect people, be responsible and be obedient.

Any pointers from your mom as far as boys are concerned?

Andi: That I always have to put myself first so that I won’t lose respect for myself. I tell my mom everything.

Sa acting?

Andi: Hindi siya masyadong nagbibigay ng pointers. She just tells me, “If you have it, you have it.” But I observe how she acts. I started watching my mom’s movies when I was a teenager. My favorites are Olongapo and The Great American Dream. I also like Working Girls (the first one) and Itanong Mo sa Buwan (Jaclyn and Mark met and matched on the set of the movie. — RFL). If not for Itanong Mo sa Buwan, I wouldn’t have been born. Wala sana ako ngayon.

What’s your fondest dream?

Andi: I have two. Oops! My mom will cry when she hears this — I want to discover so many things in this world that’s why I love to travel and to write. And two, since I’m learning to love acting, instead of winning a lot of awards like what my mom is doing, I just want to be known as Jaclyn Jose’s daughter.[/INDENT]

MAMARAZZI

Mamarazzi is a 2010 Filipino comedy film starring Eugene Domingo. It is Regal Films' first offering for its 50th Anniversary.

Synopsis
Everyone know about a paparazzi - people stalking celebrities, checking their every move, but have they ever heard about a Mamarazzi?

“Mamarazzi” is the story of a mother who constantly pries into the lives of her three children, often resulting in riotous and hilarious situations.

Fifteen years ago, Violy Langit (Eugene Domingo), an owner of a small funeral parlor, learns that she is suffering from a medical condition that requires her to undergo a hysterectomy. All her life, she’s wanted to have children, and she realizes that she has to do it before the procedure. But Violy has no man in her life – no husband, no boyfriend, no suitors. She seeks the help of her gay best friend, Mandy (John Lapus). Out of pity and love for Violy, Mandy offers his boyfriend, Carlo (Diether Ocampo) to serve as a sperm donor.

With Mandy’s blessing, Violy and Carlo share a night filled with romance, passion, and mystery – for after that night, Carlo disappears completely from the lives of Violy and Mandy.

But Violy gets her wish. She is blessed with a set of triplets – two girls, Peachy and Strawberry (Andi Eigenmann in a dual role), and one boy, Dingdong (AJ Perez) – which she raises as a single mother.

As the children gets older, Violy, with all her might, does all ways and means to have happy kids even to the extent of helping her son get the girl that he wants – Mimi (Carla Abellana). Her being an extremely controlling and overly nosy mother makes her kids wonder about her mom’s intentions. Little do her children know that all she’s doing is just to make her family happy. Adding to the children’s frustration, is getting her mom reveal to them her secret – the real identity of their father.

Overview
Sometimes referred to as "Isla Engkanto", Topel Lee takes the helm of SRR XII's second episode, which is the tale of three girls, one of them the apple of the eye of a terrible engkanto, who then captures the girl. This stars Andi Eigenmann for her SRR debut role. Rayver Cruz, John Lapus, Kristel Moreno, Solo Kiggins, and Regine Angeles accompany Andi on the episode with Niña Jose having a special participation.

The second episode opens with an unsuspecting woman (Niña Jose) apparently lost in the woods. No sooner she began to run, she felt her heart being taken away by someone or something. She then started to morph to an undistinguished creature. All turned to black.
At the present, two girls, Andrea (Andi Eigenmann) and Ces (Kristel Moreno) are being invited by their friend Belle (Regine Angeles) on Isla Verde, a secluded remote island wherein no communication means are available, but the only escape is to the boat. Not bothered by this fact, the three girls built a bonfire that night and talked about the "soulmate ritual", related by Ces herself. According to her, all you have to do is to face a mirror, took out any lightening object, and wish solemnly. It must be done at midnight on a full moon. No sooner, Andrea stealthily slipped from the group and tried the ritual on a clear lake. It worked: the reflection manifested as Belle's cousin Ray (Rayver Cruz). Unfortunately, something pulled her into the bottom of the lake and everything darkened.
The next day, Andrea discovers herself waking up in the beach, with Ces and Belle by her side. Her feet are inevitably muddy and does not remember of what transpired last night. Meanwhile, Belle answers Andrea's frequent questions of Ray staying in the island. Flashbacks revealed that Ray lost his girlfriend on the island two years ago. (Ray's Girl Friend was revealed to be Aira the hostage of the Engkanto in the episode's opening.) As an action, he enlisted the aid of his friend Malay (John Lapus) to seek vengeance against the Engkanto. Back in the cottage, Ray was infuriating his cousin for bringing visitors with her, explaining he will be blamed again if one of them gets lost. At this time around, the three girls were back in the beach and Jok (Solo Kiggins), Andrea's helper, was also dragged by the same vine that caught Andrea the night before.
Events began to reach the pinnacle the following evening. The unsuspecting Andrea was taken prisoner by the Lambanas, evil fairies commandeered by the Engkanto himself, during the night. They dragged her to the same lake where the girl had initiated the ritual two nights ago. It seems that the Engkanto's lair was on the bottom of the lake itself. It introduced itself to Andrea, who was being offered a feast by the Engkanto. Unknown to her, Ces and Belle, together with Malay and Ray, organized a search party for the missing Andrea. The two girls shockingly discovered that Andrea was in the cottage the next morning. Relating of what seemed to be the recurring events of Ray's fiancé, Malay warned her not to accept anything desirable from the Engkanto, otherwise she will permanently fall under its spell. Horror-struck, Andrea remembered that she patronized the feast prepared for her by the Engkanto.
The three girls have to wait for the whole night since the boat is due to arrive the next morning. Ray and Malay meanwhile, have their enchanted gadgets "blessed by the power of light". The next second, a battalion of Lambanas infiltrated the cottage and forcibly took Andrea, while Belle and Ces were killed in the process. Malay and Ray hunted down the Lambanas and Andrea herself was brought to the Engkanto itself. A fierce battle between Ray, Malay, Andrea, their demented companions and the Engkanto ensued, with Malay ended up being bitten by one engkanto. Seemingly over, Ray plunged his blessed knife into the engkanto's heart, killing it once and for all.
Andrea woke up the next day, where she was already aboard in a boat with Ray. Unknown to her, Ray was also bitten by the Engkanto during the pandemonium last night (particularly when Ray said, "I've killed everyone who's against us"). He reached out for the girl and the scene turns black while Andrea screams.
