    Caught this once on TCM:

    They Died with their Boots On (1941)

    I'm not well read on George Armstrong Custer, and so cannot comment on the accuracy of this portrayal. I was surprised by the even-handed treatment of the Native Americans in a film from this time. Co-stars Anthony Quinn as Sitting Bull.

    Resistance fighters in Eastern Europe during WW II. Another movie I saw as a young boy.
