ACL Injury

had mine with dr pecson from makati med/phil ortho institute. got to say im not satisfied with the results. si dr pecson *** tipong nagcconsult ka sa kanya, may tatawag or magttxt sa kanya, uunahin pa nya yun sagutin or magttxt sa harapan mo. so may idea na kayo kung pano sya magtrabaho.

consistent yung therapy ko, for 6 months, yet may knee catching ako at may tumutunog everytime i move my knee. hay. around 170K lahat.. covered ng HMO ko except for the screws na nasa 55k ata. im going to have a second opinion kaya ako napadpad dito. or maybe yung therapist ko may problem.

yung knee extension ko, hindi pa full gang ngayon (yung hyper-extended like the good knee), mukhang di na sya magiging okay kasi tight ata pagkakagawa ni dr pecson. tsk. pang 8 month ko na ngayon, btw. stopped the therapy on my 6th month kasi sobrang gastos na kasi. tsaka naging busy na din ako sa work.


ang followup question ko lang, saan po ayo nagpapatherapy? any recommendations?
tsaka bukod kina canlas at agbayani, meron pa po ba kayo marerecommend?

sana may follow-up reply. nakakadepress na kasi dami na nagastos, wala pa rin. lalo lang lumala kesa sa dati.

Hey guys. I tore my acl playing varsity bball way back in '95. Didnt have it reconstructed until '99. Did the rehab. Tore it again in a game in '02. Didnt wanna go through surgery again so lifestyle modifications na lang ako. Took up other sports. I'm an orthopedic surgeon now by the way. :-) so maybe it was fate that i messed up my knee in the first place. To everyone out there with a torn acl....its not the end of the world....even though it seems like it and it can be very frustrating. :-)

Wow naman Doc. Galing naman akalain mong yan pa talagang pinursue mo? Astig ka!

By the way, magkano pa-checkup sa yo ng knees? I am feeling a little discomfort na din eh.

sa Manila Doctors Hospital si Dr. Agbayani ang the best ACL surgeon. yan ang specialty nya eh. Ortho din siya sa PGH.
mag inquire ka sa kanya.

kasi dito sa ACL hindi lang ang doctor ang binabayaran mo pati yung company na gagawa ng implants. kung kaya mo, humanap ka ng company na nagawa ng mura at quality implants.

alam ko covered naman to usually ng mga insurance eh kasi pag tinitignan ko yung chart ng patients either HMO or COMPANY usually ang payment.
